As soon as you walk in the door you're greeted with the savory smell of the wood pizza oven. The menu consists of unique spins on classic favorites as well as topping combinations I've never heard of! Build your own as well, but honestly just trust the menu and specials-- they have been well-crafted to deliver amazing flavors with fresh ingredients. Puts nearby pizza places to shame. BYOB is also a nice way to enjoy your favorite beer with your friends.

Stopped at this place for lunch while doing shopping in Kailua town, Ordered pizza
and it was outstanding. Best pizza west of the Mississippi and rivals many New York
pies I've had. Who knew that Hawaiian pizza could be so good? I want to spread the

Our family of 4 stopped here while driving at around Oahu from Waikiki. The pizza was amazing!!! Wood fired perfection, unique combinations, and staff was great! There was a problem with one of the first things we ordered so they brought out a complimentary salad which was phenomenal. I highly recommend Prima!

There has been a lot of fuss made over Prima in the years since it opened. After finally getting over to the Windward side especially to try it out I am now an avid disciple. it's kind of a hip store front, very informal and inviting. This is not a white table cloth place and maybe all the better for it. The pizza was simply outstanding--charred to perfection in the wood burning inferno oven--every bit as tasty as any we had in Rome but with a better thin crust. Maybe even more compelling was the charred Brussels sprout and tomato blossom salads--simply presented and oh so tasty. We saw the next table sampling the strawberry macadamia salad and pledged to have it the next time--it looked that good. Go for daily happy hour (3-6) when the pizzas are $4 off.

Totally disappointed. Open Table usually has pretty good selections. This place is not one of them. If you are looking for a traditional pizza this is not for you. When we first walked in a waiter came by us and just pointed and said sit there. We then waited 15 minutes at the table. A waiter then came by and asked if we had made our order and we informed him we did not even have our menu yet. We tried ordering wine, however, they were out of most every wine on their wine list. (Funny, since they are next door to a large wine store  ) Waiter then came back and told us all the things not available on the menu. We ordered a starter while we waited for out wine. Waiter came back and told us we could not have the starter we ordered because they ran out of tomatoes. None of the pizzas combinations on the menu were recognizable. A lot of weird combinations. So we took a chance and ordered one. Now while waiting for our pizza a waitress twice gave us someone else’s order. The staff there is appeared to be very confused and did not know what they were doing. Well, our pizza arrived finally after being in the place for 1 hours. The crust was burned black on the edge and the bottom was gooey with grease. Just not what we would expect. The place is trying to be frou-frou and fails miserably. Oh, and did I mention, the plywood tops of the tables were sticky with grease and grime build up. Enough said. I better stop with this. My honest opinion.
