Just the place to stay if you find the resort a bit to pricier, we stay at a 4 bed and it was rely nice and clean, not a new unit, old but looked after and with views to the golf course, and 5 minutes walk to the beach, resort and restaurants.

Room Tip: plenty of room for about 6 people

The condos that we stayed in are very convenient since we did 4 rounds of golf, horse back riding, ate shave ice, did some shopping and zip lining in the area. However, the Resident Manager was not very nice or accommodating at all. We had checked out of the condo on time at 11:00 am but wanted to hang out a little more with our friends and finish eating our left over food before heading out. So we migrated to the tennis court and at 11:15, the resident manager kicked us off of the property. He stated that once we checked out, we were no longer guest!! This is not the kind of aloha that you would want displayed, especially if you were the Association and wanted repeat customers. Check in is at 4 pm and no one around at 11:15 on a Sunday afternoon. We are residents of Oahu and make it out to Turtle Bay, once a year. This left a bad impression on us and will not be returning, anymore. I hope the Resident Manager knows that there are lots of other options that we can choose from!!

We definitely enjoyed our stay. We had our daughter and her husband with us and they slept on the futon in the living room which was comfortable but not ideal. They had their own bathroom, however, and we all had plenty of room. There were two air conditioners, one by each of our beds, so we were able to stay nice and cool, even though it was kind of noisy. The place was clean with plenty of room. Check in was a breeze, as well as check out. The property at Turtle Bay is amazing and we loved taking walks around and being able to use the beach at the main hotel. I think it is one of the most beautiful places on Oahu for sure. We ate at several of the places and shopped. Overall, a great experience.

We first stayed at Turtle Bay resort and then transferred for 4 nights to a condo on Turtle Bay estates which was about a 10 minute walk back to the resort. We found a really spacious and updated condo via VBRO and were very happy with it. It was a great apartment. Well presented and located - nice outlook - lots of room and just as it looked in the pictures. The King bed was really comfy too.

There is so much to see and do here but with more space than the hotel and greater value for money. The apartment was a townhouse style with a large master bed on ground floor with ensuite, washer & dryer, open plan living - dining and kitchen, additional toilet and shower, balcony, and upstairs a cathedral bedroom with 2 x queen beds. There was also a pool and tennis courts for the condos to share

We went on horse ride trails at Turtle Bay - out hiking on the many walking trails, enjoyed sunset drinks at Turtle Bay resort, as well as coffee and the yummy banana bread in their lobby lounge, walked and drove to the many beautiful beaches and enjoyed some of the food trucks near Foodland. Didn't get a chance to play tennis or go to the pool or play golf so much to do!

We also hired a car and it was great to have a free car space with the well appointed apartment.

Highly recommend this lovely apartment and the owner was really helpful and let us check in early.

We will be back :)

Room Tip: Many of Turtle Bay condos are listed via VBRO and Homeaway. The one we stayed in was property ID #376446 .

We stayed in this unit in April 2017. The unit is as shown in pictures. You can tell that the owners recently updated stuff like the bed in the loft, and the sliding door in the back porch. The place is roomy, lots of natural light and air if the lanai's are kept open ( screen on ). The ceiling fans circulates the air in the units fairly well. We did not need to turn on the AC for our whole stay. We had some minor issues with the toilette, the mosquitos in the areas are pretty bad, there are lots. You will see kids in the pool with mosquito bites. My kids got bitten multiple times. For those that are sensitive to insects, you might want to consider staying somewhere else. We only encountered mosquitos and aunts in the north shore, not in Waikiki, none in Ko O lina, we were in the island for 17 nights. The owners are very responsive to questions. The neighbours across the door is not a fan of children. Upon arriving she talked to us 2x about kids and the noise ( we might create ). We did not appreciate that at all, considering we just arrived. The beach in turtle bay is an easy 10 minute walk or less, the waves could still be pretty harsh for small kids. The condo is equip with snorkels, boogie boards, chairs, stuff for golfing and tennis etc. The condo has a peaceful ambience (minus the unfriendly retiree lady lol ). It is far from Waikiki, I timed the monday morning traffice from parking lot of this place to Waikiki Duke Statue is 125 minutes. without traffice could be 50 minutes or so. But there is always construction as well, so give your self 70 mins to go to waikiki at all time. The drive to the north shore is breath taking. There are a lot of good eateries from fancy to hole in the wall place in the area. try Papa Ole's and Korean Bbq for $15 meals that tasted like you paid $40 for it. The manager of the compound is not that helpful. The security that roams around are friendly. There's a few security measures that are visible like that cameras in the pool and the entrance. Makes you think if it is safe to be walking around at night and what is the reason they have multiple cameras around. The pools is nice and we mostly have it to our selves. It looks well maintained . Read reviews of the specific units you are renting. There are a lot that are run down and has old appliances etc inside. There are some that are newly renovated. Again, read reviews of guest they had rented to.

Room Tip: Read Reviews of the specific units you will be renting before paying. Some units are old and not well maintained.
