My husband and I had the omasake & a special toro roll last night. It is same dinner we had 8 years ago. The sushi is fresh. He knows how to enhance the quality/taste of the fish by adding calamondine on top.
We live in NYC and we’ve had dinner at Morimoto and other good sushi restaurants but nothing tops Koiso.
We reserved the table since we had our 3 year old son. They were very accommodating and nice even though he slept through dinner and didn’t order anything.
I rarely give 5 stars but this place deserves more for the quality of food and service.
For those who were turned away cause they had kids, please know that you need reservations in advance. I asked my friend to call in July for reservations in August. They only have 2 seatings every night and maximum capacity of 16 people. Anyone who didn’t have reservations were turned away.
