This hotel has a great pool bar that has excellent happy hour with music until 9pm. This bar is very popular so you should go early to get a good seat. The staff provide great service and help make for a great night out.

The Maui Coast hotel is situated just south of the main tourist area and shops of Kihei on Maui. A simple hotel that is clean and friendly. The rooms are fresh and clean but the hallways are bit outdated. The lobby is open to the Hawaiian breezes and you’re greeted but a friendly front desk staff. Just next to the front desk you’ll find an activities coordinator for your upcoming adventures on the island. Just a short walk from the lobby, you’ll find a cozy and semi secluded pool for relaxation. For those looking to explore without walking, a nice perk are the numerous bikes for use. You can find them on the bike rack just outside the lobby. They request you check the bikes that are still available as they all have different seat heights before going to the front desk to sign one out. You’re limited to signing them out from dusk to dawn and about a 3 hour limit. Each bike is equipped with a lockable chain if you desire to stop anywhere for a bit like I do in the morning for breakfast. If you’re willing and able to take a short walk, about 10 minutes give or take, you can find the shops and restaurants as well as some beach areas to the right (north) of the hotel.

You won’t find a 5 star property here but you will find a 5 star staff. I enjoyed my stay and would return again when Kihei is in my travel plans.

Loved staying here. We were here for 5 nights prior to heading up to Kaanapali.
The staff were all so friendly and we received a lovely warm welcome despite arriving late at night from the UK.
The room was lovely, not much of a view but we didn’t mind that as were out most days.
We ate breakfast and dinner one time each at the hotels restaurant Ami Ami and very much enjoyed both.
ABC is a few minutes walk away where you can pick up a coffee and just about anything else you need.
kam 1 Beach is literally across the road and is a lovely beach.
Pool was nice, pretty quiet.
There’s a nice gift shop at hotel too.
Bicycles are available to borrow at hotel which was a nice touch, although we didn’t use them.
Hotel offers a free shuttle bus which we did use several times, very handy and saved on Uber fares! :)
Would def stay here again.

We stayed here for our anniversary in July and it was great! The grounds and pool area are very nice and clean. Room was large with comfy bed, in-room safe and everything we needed. We enjoyed breakfast on the lanai (balcony) every morning overlooking the ocean. Beach is right across the street. Staff that we interacted with were friendly and pleasant. The only drawback to the hotel itself was that the water pressure from our shower was a little low.

We went to the poolside bar every evening for their live music. Food and drinks there were good as well. There's also a tennis court and bikes to use. However, this isn't the hotel to stay at if you want to party. We enjoyed the quiet, but note that the poolside bar has "last call" at 9:15 - 9:20 and closes completely at 10. There were a few beautiful weekend nights when we wished we could have stayed till 11, but that's not possible here.

Please note that there's also a resort fee at this hotel. Plenty of parking is available, and it was also easy to find a deck lounge chair when we visited.

Room Tip: No need to book excursions through lobby desk. You can find plenty of options online or picking up brochures at the airport.

First day we arrived we had lunch by the pool. The wait staff was excellent and the food was fantastic. Check in upon arrival also went smoothly. We had a lovely room which was nice and cool. I enjoyed shopping at the gift shop. They carry bottles of Starbucks in the gift shop which was a big plus. Attended an orientation briefing of what to do in the area which was very informative. Ended up renting a car on the last day and dropped it off at the airport. The have a Dollar rent a car right in the lobby. The breakfast area was very nice with views to the ocean. The beach is just a few steps away. I would definitely go back here again. They have a courtesy shuttle that will take you in a 3 mile radius and pick you up. We used them a lot.

Room Tip: They have bicycles if you are so inclined.
