If you're looking for easy, casual fare with great taste, be sure to stop by Acevedo's. We ordered the fish burrito and shrimp tacos, plus a side of chips and salsa, and everything was very tasty. The fish was delicately cooked, they used a house sauce on both the burrito and tacos that was extremely tasty. Plus the salsa with their chips was extremely flavorful. The picnic tables outside are in the shade and benefit from the Maui breezes, and there were numerous local fare choices if you really want a Hawaiian plate instead. Tasty, affordable find!

Yes! Yes! Eat Here! Do not hesitate a moment longer. This is the most fantastic Mexican food on the island. My family is from Brownsville, TX and Zacatecas, MX and this food is as good as anything you will find in either place. The Hawaiian food ROCKS too!
Everyone working here is your best brah, amigo, ohana, familia. You are a part of the Acevedo family when you are here and you are treated that way.
It can be a bit hard to find, hiding in plain sight. Look for the two picnic tables on the Alamaha Street side of the building, next to the canal.
The worst thing about dining here is having to select only one or two items since it is all so ono (delicious). But that just means keep coming back until you have tried it all.
Acevedo's Chili Verde is one of the stand out items. My family agrees it is about the best we have ever had.
Stop thinking and start eating! Get to Acevedo's Hawaicano now!

This is now my 4th visit here and my wife's 6th! The food is outstanding the quality is unmatched on maui when it comes to athentic Mexican food. Do not pass on the local plates either! Da kitchen definitely needs to be worried lol. To be greated upon entrance and exit is no longer the norm on the island when it comes to dining, but you will be treated here!

We were desperately searching our phones for somewhere to eat in Kahului and we really lucked out choosing this place. It was DELICIOUS and everyone loved their meal - the chicken tacos were excellent but I was jealous of my husband's pork chile verde. My son ate off the Hawaiian menu - fish platter - and loved it. It's small and you know the family really puts their heart in to the food. It's off the main drag but well worth finding.

This is one of those "hole in the wall" places that are so much fun to discover.
What a combination, Mexican and Hawaiian cuisine. My wife had Carna Asada while it was a little spicy for her, she enjoyed it and she loved the beans. I had the Shrimp lunch plate, it was excellent. Friendly staff, I think every person working there asked us how our meal was. there are several tables inside and two picnic tables outside, so the don't have a lot of seating.
