My husband and I returned to #402, Waikomo Stream Villas for a week's stay. We had stayed in the same unit in 2007. The condo project is well maintained, lush and tropical and a very good value. It's located across the road from a new shopping village with specialty shops, restaurants and upscale food market. Unit 402 is well maintained and located on the ground floor with a front and rear entrance. The unit is complete, right down to the guide books, fully equipped kitchen, washer, dryer, free internet connection.

The "roving alarm clocks" , i.e. roosters, do their best to make sure you don't miss a 6:00 a.m. water adventure; however, their presence throughout the island cannot be avoided.

We loved the privacy and convenience. It's a short drive to great restaurants, the beach, and shopping. Also close to many scenic attractions. Recommend breakfast at Joe's on the Green, dinner's at Roy's and the Beach House, lunch at Merriman's downstairs cafe and Mark's Place in Lihue for good, inexpensive local food.

When we return to Kauai, we certainly would like to consider this a home away from home..

We stayed in #221 this December and were able to use the construction discount adverstised on the Parrish web site. This made it cheaper than any hotel. The unit was immaculate and well-stocked with everything necessary for our stay. Be forewarned--the construction starts at sunrise and continues to sunset and the noise is significant. The villas are within a short walk of Baby Beach, and a longer walk to the Sheraton beach. Poipu Beach State Park is a 5 minute drive. A super dive and snorkel site is a 2 minute walk away--Poipu landing. The property itself is very well kept and beautifully landscaped. We were glad to have stayed on the south shore during winter, as all north shore beaches were unsafe for swimming during our stay. Kauai is a small island and Poipu was a good choice for a base of operations. Wonderful, gorgeous beaches with a 20 minute drive in any direction.

Stayed in Unit 421 - the condo had everything you could imagine and the location is just great - about 1 mile from beaches that at perfect for snorkelling, swimming and boogie boarding. And very spacious - it's bigger than my NY apartment!!
Just bring ear plugs as the island is over run with chickens - you'll hear roosters crowing all night/ morning long. Luckily this unit has a louder, older electric fan and it created enough white noise.
Would stay again!

I stayed in Unit 220 and received a construction discount. I have nothing but praise for the unit and the complex. Absolutely everything you would need is in the unit! While there is a huge condo project being built next door, the construction activity was minimal. As a result, the discount was so much more than the construction activity would warrant. It is a great unit and if you get any construction discount, it is a tremendous value.

We went to Kaui in February, which was probably the only downer of the trip. The weather stayed a little windy and cool to be considered very tropical during our stay. However, the condo rental we had was great! The rental was a garden view and everything was clean and very nicely maintained. We stayed in condo WS421. The condo itself was located a little away from the ocean but we had rented a jeep and didn't really care if we drove or walked to the nearest sand. We didn't meet the staff because we had a late check-in but everything we needed was in the lock box as they said it would be. We checked out early and went back to Maui because it was warmer, but we said if we came back to Kaui we would stay at Waikomo again! I think this place is great for families and couples alike. I would definitely recommend it.
