This is a nice middle of the road resort. Very clean and on main street in Kapaa. This resort is on the ocean, but with limited access to the beach. Beautiful Views. I believe that most all units have ocean view.

Loved staying here. Beautiful location. The view from our room was fabulous. Great location. Condo was clean and freshly redone. Pool area was fantastic. Staff was friendly. Only drawbacks. No air conditioning. So if you are going any later than May it will be warm. They provide plenty of fans, but it was warm. No free Wifi and no HD TV. As much as the owners pay for the timeshares, free WiFi , HD TV and Air should be provided. We had to pay $16.00 for a week of WiFi. Ridiculous when you are an owner there. Other than those things it was fantastic and we would stay there again, even with those problems.

The inside of this condo is very nice and clean, but the view and how close it is to the ocean waves makes this a memorable place to stay. There is no beach, but there is a grassy area with lounge chairs for sitting close to the water and enjoying the view and sound. However, in this condo there is no need to sit on the ground because you can sit on your lanai and enjoy the amazing view and ocean breezes!

We stayed in unit # 307, building A. This is a privately owned unit and is rented out through Kauai Vacation Rentals (great to work with). The bathrooms, kitchen and floors have been updated. The condo had several neat pieces of art on the walls.

Bathrooms- include hair dryer with diffuser, shampoo, conditioner & shower gel. There is a tub/shower in both bathrooms.

Kitchen- includes some food items and spices, so check what is there before shopping. Big Save was cheaper than the Safeway (both are close to the condo). A couple of things that could be added to the kitchen are a pizza pan or cookie sheet and 8x8 or 9x13 baking dish. Kitchen items that were a nice added touch: electric tea pot, 3 water bottles for hiking or beach & nice pots and pans.

Upstairs bedroom-We were there the middle of March and it was very warm and humid. There is no air conditioning but several fans. It was very warm a few nights, but cooled down overnight. One of the windows in the upstairs bedroom does not open. Unfortunately, there are no shades on the windows so it gets very hot in the bedroom when the morning sun is shining in the windows. Bed was very comfortable.

This unit has a front loading washer and dryer. Laundry detergent is provided.

Beach equipment- 4 beach towels, 1 beach mat, cooler, beach umbrella, boogie board, noodles & 2 chairs (one chair was broken and they are not beach chairs- big and heavy) . More beach equipment could be added since 4 people could stay here.

Now for the best part of staying in this condo...the view and sound of the waves!!!! The sunrise is amazing and while we were there the moon was full which gave us a spectacular show each night! If possible plan your trip around the full moon!!!
LOVED listening to the waves all the time but especially at night. Helped forget about the warmth in the condo!

My husband and I got a massage in the condo which was an amazing experience. Elevated Wellness will come to your location and they have excellent therapist (Marie & Angie were excellent!) !!! I was on the lanai and my husband was in front of the sliding glass door, so we both enjoyed the sound of the waves (real ones not recorded ones) and the ocean breeze! It was a little slice of heaven on earth!!!!!

We rented bikes($10 for 4 hours) at the bike rental that is next door to Kapaa Sands. It was so easy to walk there and then return the bikes without driving.

Kapaa Sands is very centrally located in Kapaa! Highly recommend!

Room Tip: Privately owned #307 in building A., some buildings and units are not ocean front. All of building A is ocean front.

We visited this resort in 1999, we just went back and our experience was the same, great! Surely a updated room and grounds, wonderful! You can walk to downtown Kappa in less than ten minutes, nice walking trail along the waters edge. We had a two bedroom with a loft master, two couple can easily enjoy the space! Wonderful BBQ area, never had a problem finding a open grill. Very nice pool and hot tub, our unit had a great view (unit 323). The laundry rooms in the A&C units is where people leave chairs, boogie boards, beach mats, laundry soap, who know always something that we could use and we added to the loot. The beach is not one to swim or snorkel on, but we were there in March and there were whales almost every day. Customer service was wonderful, you will feel like you were at home! We had a great time and will return again!

Stayed 6 days in Kapaa. There is a walking trail adjacent to the property that follows the beachline. You can walk for a few mile if you want. Nice views and the crashing waves, what could be better. The condo itself sleeps 6, bedroom with 2 twins a hideabed and a loft with separate bathroom. It was nice but a little dated and has a full kitchen. The view of the sunrise was great!.
