I come here a lot with friends... service is normally fantastic but tonight it was different. Our waitress Lynn was super slow.. by the ending of our time there, we WAITED 30 mins just to get our tabs.. then she had one of my friends do her job by writing down on a separate piece of paper for split checks.. like come on! That's your job.

Either they need to train properly or get new waitress

Ate on hot deck with flies. Had a chicken wrap. Food not good. No flavor. Servers ok. Eat before your boat trip out of Port Allen..

We were taking Captain Andy's Napali cruise and had some time, so we stopped in next door at the Sunset Grill. We ordered some appetizers: blackened shrimp in a great finger licking sauce, coated calamari steak in a sauce, sauteed sweet fresh taste Kauai shrimp with the heads on (option) in garlic, and a broiled fish sandwich. All had great flavors and taste. Staff were very friendly. Great place on a deck for lunch enjoying the winds.
Menu choices included: pupus, garden greens, curries, seafood, beef, sandwiches and wraps, desserts. They also have pupus (appetizers) for happy hour and special tropical drinks.

Don't let the grungy, industrial setting put you off. The food is great (perfectly cooked, fresh caught fish) and the service pleasant. I do wish, however, that they'd wipe down their menus every now and then.

We had eaten across the street at the Kauai Brewing Company and wanted to try a different place. There was no wait for seating, so we got a table on the deck. The server took a while to get to us, and the soup was brought out at the same time as lunch. We got a "sorry, it all got done together" from the server, but it felt like she couldn't have care less. She was definitely just going through the motions, and doing a job. There was no personality or friendliness.
The soup and entrees we had were just "ok", nothing special or especially good. I would not go back here again, based on our experience.
