The last time I was here at this resort was nearly twenty years ago! As other reviewers have mentioned, it is showing its age. However, the experience is as good as I remember it. Everything you expect from a vacation in Hawaii is here. The lagoon, dolphins, restaurants and a tram and boats to take you from one area of the resort to the other.
The price for parking is outrageous. I think it was $30 a day. And, imagine paying a valet each time you need your car.

We're delighted that we've continued to impress you even with the 20-year gap. From the exploring the lagoon to dining at our restaurants, it sounds like you had a great time. And while some areas may appear a little dated, we hope that our renovations will make your stay even better in the future. We appreciate your comments about parking costs -- we'll keep that in mind for the future. We hope you'll come back the next time you find yourself on the island. Aloha! -Simon At Hilton Waikoloa Village

I love The Hilton. It's what I always dreamed of a Hawaiin vacation being when I was unable to afford one. The Ocean Tower Rooms are the only place I would stay because of the view. The food and drink are way too expensive, but if you leave you can find more affordable places.

A very relaxing property, for not just couples but enough available activities to satisfy any water loving family. You have 3 seperate pools; main one has a sand wadung area for the little ones. And a lagoon that opens to the ocean allowing in the different species of fish, turtles and eels.

Very good property! Hilton is in the middle of needed upgrades, but no impacts to our stay. Property is beginning to show its age in some areas. We did notice a slight decline in the quality of service, like extended wait times for the front desk to answer the phone on several occasions and timely assistance from baggage team/bellhops.

Horrible family trip. Nothing but construction, horrible rooms, and terrible service. Also, expect to pay $30 to $ a day for parking, eat average food for over $50 a plate (no free kids meals), and wait 30 minutes for transportation to the lobby, every time.
