We booked a standard room- it was nicely decorated and perfectly serviceable. It was very small though... hubby is 6’5”, I’m 5’10”, and we take up a lot of space! Next time I’ll spring for a bigger room.More

Thank you for your kind review. I'm sorry I hadn't seen you at check-in, as I would have suggested a room with a king bed option instead. Hopefully there is a next time coming soon, then you'll be able to see how much more space the renovated Deluxe rooms afford. If you need the option to cook meals, the Kitchenette Suites are also a lovely choice. I will say, the Standard Rooms are perfect for the budget minded traveler. Mahalo again for taking time to share about your stay.
Until next time, a hui hou!
Our room was brand new, super comfortable, quiet and just right for our visit. The staff is super friendly. Water, ice coffee and tea always available. Will visit again. Great recommendation for dinner across the street, went two nights in a row!
Sounds like you had a great time! We love to hear feedback from all our guests and appreciate the time they take to write a short review. We hope you get a chance to visit again soon. Until next time, happy travels!
Enjoyed our renovated room at the Kamuela Inn during the holidays, very reasonable rate for Hawaii at that time of year.
Great free, hot breakfast and free Kona coffee all day long.
Within walking distance to shops and restaurants.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Nice walk-in shower.
Mahalo Kumi F,
We especially love sharing our aloha during the holidays and am thankful you had an enjoyable stay. Thank you for taking the time to share about your experience so that others may get an idea of what to expect when they visit. Hope to see you another time. Perhaps give the first Saturday in February a try? That's the weekend of the Annual Cherry Blossom Festival in Waimea. Truly a spectacular display of pink!
Until next time...a hui hou,
Great value on the Big Island. If you plan stay in Waimea and want a clean, fresh place to stay, you will be happy you chose the Kamuela Inn. The renovated rooms are nicely done, and the showers and roomy and spotless. The soaps and shampoos they give you are really nice too. The breakfast is also a big plus. I will definately stay here again.
We take great efforts to provide clean, fresh spaces both inside and out. I'm glad you were able to enjoy our breakfast. We look forward to a few changes, bringing new options for varying dietary needs. We look forward to your next visit.
A hui hou,
Comfortable bed, quiet room, very nice breakfast bar with lovely landscaped gardens to sit in. This is my 2nd time to stay there, and i would stay there again in future. My only suggestion is that the Inn put a sign out by the entrance driveway. It is hard to see, especially at night.
I agree about the sign. We're trying to work on this issue with a temporary option. Look for the new red teardrop banner out front. We'll also try to install a solar light to assist with evening visibility. Glad you were able to visit again and hope to say hello next time.
A hui hou,
I booked your unit for my brother
and he had a wonderful time
it was clean and efficient
and it was needed at a very sensitive time for my family
i really appreciated it
i would gladly recommend to others
I'm glad your brother had a blessed stay while here to share in this time of mourning and grief. We are always here for guests, especially in these times, trying to make their stay as comfortable and problem free as possible. We hope all is well and that family members can visit again for a time of celebration or just a nice vacation. Thank you again for caring about your out of town ohana and having them stay here with us. Kamuela Inn's goal is to be that home away from away.
A hui hou,
