My first review and stay at Casper LaQuinta did not take into account that there were staffing issues that weekend due to illness. There were replacement staff doing the best they could in unfamiliar surroundings. I learned of these problems on our second visit 2 weeks after the first over night. I do believe the staff and management takes pride in their commitment to their guests.

This is an older facility that is sprawled over a large area, .15 miles walking the corridors from our room to the breakfast area. Even though it’s older it is still comfortable and the staff cares about the guests and management responds to issues and addresses them.

Unfortunately, this facility’s breakfast policy serves breakfast at 7AM instead of 6AM on weekends. If you are planning on an early start to your weekend travel the best you will get here is a cup of coffee. The breakfast was a step above the normal LaQuinta offering and the breakfast attendant kept things hot and stocked. As with many LaQuintas, there are a number of skilled labor people who stay as guests for several days. Many of which are waiting for the breakfast so they can get to work early.

The facility is showing its age. It does have an elevator. But all the doors are manual open, no automatic doors that are so convenient when entering with luggage. Ever try to get a luggage cart through a door without auto open? Parking places are so tight, it is difficult to open your car doors to unload. We had to repark the car in order to unload it.

The rooms are decent and bed was comfortable, Quiet and only city glow no blaring parking overhead lights. Location is easy to get to, and centrally located.

Overall hotel was great for our one night stay.. Arrived they were doing patch work on the parking lot asphalt. The room next to us was having the carpet cleaned but left shortly after we arrived. Close to gas stations and highway access.

This LQ is an old H*ampton. It is really old. I used points to stay here so I was satisfied. The front desk clerk was very good and gave me some good info for dinner. There was no outside trash cans to dump the dogs doo. Bed was comfortable. We did not use the breakfast because we were as far away as you can be from the food. We walked to McDonald's across the parking lot out back. Place could use some updating but for 8,000 points it was fine.

Room tip: Ask front desk about J.S. China restaurant.
