Order at the counter & seat yourself. You will get a number & your food will be brought to your table. Our party of 3 really enjoyed eating outside & the food was great too. We ordered eggs & toast w/sausage, ham, egg & cheese on a croissant and French toast (extra amazing) and orange juice. It was just lovely outside w/ a pergola above & view of the river.

we visit about once a week, usually in the afternoon for coffee and maybe one of
their bakery snacks or gelato. The attraction of this place isn't just their food.
The outdoor terrace and their dining areas overlook the Wi River. A marvelous
way to eat and enjoy the scenery and in the winter see the occasional bald eagle
roosting or fishing on the open water below the hydroelectric dam.

While this place is a little expensive, the atmosphere and views are charming and inviting. Great little hole in the wall place, definitely worth visiting if you're in the area. Great custard, too!

Opted for The Blue Spoon recently when a dinnertime drop-elsewhere elicited a 90-minute wait. With multiple dining rooms, a stunningly diverse array of entrees and all-in-one specials, and a highly efficient central ordering area/kitchen/bakery/wine outlet/desert and ice cream counter, you only wait long enough to decide which feast fits your fancy.
We were sorry we'd shorted The Spoon when our stupendous Baked Cod Dinners arrived about a half-a-beer later.
The cod was steamy hot, butter-tinged and begging to be gulped rapidly. Two of my three pieces disappeared in a few satisfying swallows before i gathered myself and took a breath. Now, we Wisconsonites are accustomed to creamy Cole slaw and various potato-based objects filling supporting-actor roles in our fish fry stunners. That aint the deal here: the fresh sweet-without-creamy taste of this spot's slaw led me to want another plate of it alone! My baked beans with hints of maple and ?sweet onion? were equally sumptuous.
Beth and I agreed: The Blue Spoon deserves top billing from now on.
