We were in the area bike riding trails and stopped in for dinner. This is more of a carry out place with the standard menu like many of these places have. We ate in and had to use styrofoam plates and plastic forks. It was ok but nothing worth writing home about.

My husband picked up our LATE NIGHT order (Open until 11 PM on Saturdays) and it was hot, fresh and super tasty! Hubby had Kung Poa Beef (and for once it was HOT and spicy enough for him!) and I had the Shrimp Egg Foo Young which was very good and the shrimp a nice Medium size (not the teeny, tiny salad size shrimp). We also ordered a shrimp Egg Roll and a small order of Pork Fried Rice. We brought home another 2 meals worth of leftovers and if we lived in the Mt Horeb area, we would definitely try some of their other menu items!

Gen Tao's Chicken was pretty much exactly what you'd expect. Nothing wrong with it nothing terrific either. Exactly what you want when traveling, no surprises. Enjoy!

My expectations for the typical carry-out Chinese restaurant in the US are generally pretty low. We had the Sesame chicken meal (which includes fried-rice and an egg-roll) for less than $7. It's certainly a filling meal as we nearly always have left-overs. While nothing tastes bad, it's just not particularly note-worthy.

We don't visit often, but we're glad it's an option for the Mount Horeb area after the previous Chinese food restaurant thankfully closed (they had terrible service).

Our wait time was about 10-15 minutes even though we didn't call ahead on a Saturday late afternoon/early-evening.

We'll go back.
