Great place to just hang out and have a beer, listen to music, people watch. Nothing fancy, just plain and interesting

Everyone was telling us to go here the minute we arrived on the island. We listened to excellent live music, enjoyed great company, and the atmosphere was awesome. The drinks were made well and we really enjoyed our time at the bar.

Must be seen to be appreciated, check it out and see if it's to your taste. Fun place for a cocktail and converstation.
I wouldn't call this a cafe, per se, more of a watering hole.

The place looks like a burned down building with tarp for a roof -- well, that's because that's EXACTLY what it is. It is a definitely a place for the "island" people and locals. It has its own vibe, but we went in for a drink having come all the way from Florida to hike/kayak Wisconsin. The beer/wine were average, but all the signs in the place make it a true conversational dream. We walked and read and took pictures of these signs. Some made us laugh; many made us think; some made us sad. The entertainment left much to be desired as it was a guy on an acoustic guitar who "wrote his own material," and I am using that term loosely. All in all, we were glad we had a drink there.

This was one place may told us we needed to visit on our vacation. We did and what a riot of a place to be. A must see when you are on the Island.
