Stopped in for a drink. A very unique place and atmosphere worth stopping in to see and experience. There was a drawback. Some locals were there who were pretty shady and you could smell the pot they were smoking. They let their kids run wild inside outside and on the streets with no supervision. Child services should step in I felt sorry for those poor children. Otherwise the place is unique and fun just keep the dopers out

Our visit to Tom's was an afterthought. Several reviews claimed that the regulars were catered to, and visitors were ignored. We decided to drop in for a beer, just so we could see it. Upon first glance from down the block, Tom's appeared to be an artistic junk-heap. Once aboard- we found it to be a very inviting sort of deck-scene. We wound up spending most of the afternoon there. Staff and locals were extremely friendly, and the atmosphere is cunducive to meeting people, and friendly conversation. Good beer selection, though we never looked into food. So glad that we didn't miss this one! I suspect that any negative reviews were from people that thought that they were "cool enough", and perhaps found out that they were not..lol! In any case, I really enjoyed my afternoon there. Great music and conversation. Will return in the future!!

We had a little time to kill in the afternoon before taking the ferry back to Bayfield. I was reluctant to stop here but glad we did. It looks like a tarp over a trailer with junk all around. But once there, we read the signs and enjoyed the décor. A quirky place that everyone should stop at with very friendly people. Wish we had more time to spend here but we will be back!

This place was nuts. Open decks and bar, RV adjacent for locking up valuables, chotchkies and signs all over the place. We sat here with our dog one afternoon drinking vodka lemonade and I
l'll never forget it! Truly a one of kind place I tell everyone heading to Madeline Island to stop by.

We have spent extended time at Tom's several times over the last few years. If you like a beverage or two, interesting people, and engrossing surroundings, this is the place for you. It is for us. A friend of mine celebrated his birthday here a couple years back, and it was wonderful for him - he could smoke a cigar in a tavern in Wisconsin! - yes, of course, we were actually "outside". But man, sitting by log fires, good friends, drinks, talk, heck, my Tripadvisor image was cropped from a photo taken at Tom's that day! Check this joint out when on the island!
