I was surprised to hear that the Bier Stube was the ONLY German restaurant in Germantown. We were driving from Milwaukee to Oshkosh and wanted to stop for a nice dinner. We looked up German restaurants near us. We were vey pleased with our only chaice.
They have two buildings; a restaurant and a beer hall. In the summer you can eat outside. The restaurant is cozy and full of atmosphere. It also has a bar. The beer hall is large with communal tables.
I had a delicious Schweinbraten, my wife had the European Sausage (three different sausages) entre, and my daughter had the Pair of Dumplings (wheat and potato)with mushroom sauce.
The server was great and full of knowledge and willing to talk to us.
We will be back although it is an hour drive from our house.
