We only wish we had discovered The Juniper Inn years ago. We loved our stay. Beautiful inn, great location, quiet, lovely room (we had The Red Maple Room); wonderful service. Our innkeeper Mark was friendly, informative and attentive and a good cook (great breakfast.) We'll be back.

My partner and I recently stayed at the Juniper Inn and the experience exceeded our expectations. This was the perfect sanctuary while visiting family in the area. The property is absolutely beautiful, clean, comfortable, excellently located/tucked-away, and has that natural wood/Scandinavian look and feel that situate it nicely in Door County. The Maple Room was perfect for our needs (minimal amenities, since most of our time was spent visiting family) but one of the rooms with a balcony and that faces the woods would be a worthwhile upgrade when we return. The decanter with sherry liquor next to the bed with two glasses is a classy touch. The innkeeper, Mark, not only provided a simple yet wide variety of homemade selections for breakfast (the fruit soup with granola was perfect), but he clearly went out of his way to interact with guests and to make them feel comfortable and informed during their stay on the peninsula. We were initially curious, being a gay couple, as to the level of acceptance for LGBT guests. We were surprisingly pleased with the level of openness and acceptance from the innkeeper and the other guests. This was such a nice place to stay and is now on the radar for all of our family and friends that visit Door County. Thanks Mark!

Room Tip: If you sleep with the windows open, go for one of the back rooms with the view of the woods.

Having stayed in some really dumpy old hotels in Door County, I was so pleased to have found The Juniper Inn. It's rare to find a place to stay in Door County that is new and updated and clean, and this Inn definitely stands out. It's so well cared-for it looks like it just opened! I will definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: The owner has great restaurant and entertainment suggestions!

Beautiful, quiet and relaxing, but only a few miles from the business of Door County, just out of Fish Creek. A newer building with charm galore, great layout and it was super clean. Four rooms upstairs, no two alike. I was in the Lilac room, the smallest of the four, but one of my friends was in the Evergreen room (largest) and that was ideal for our happy hours with a view over the valley from both the sitting area or the nicely shaded deck. Thoughtful amenities like a decanter of port in the room, refrigerator for your snacks near the rooms (shared with other rooms), shampoo, body wash, conditioner all supplied. Fresh, warm muffins for breakfast each day with fruit, a unique, cold fruit soup (yum), cereals, coffee, juice. Breakfast area also overlooks the heavily wooded valley and has a fireplace for chilly fall or winter mornings. The comfortable, living/sitting room adjoins the breakfast area. It was a great place to work on my loom on a rainy afternoon. Throughout the inn, there is wonderful original art. Mark, the host, is very accommodating and happy to chat with you, even at breakfast if you wish. He is a great resource for knowledge of the area. Thoroughly enjoyed this inn.

We were looking for a nice quiet place to relax while we were exploring Door County. Mark was the perfect host - very helpful and attentive to the details. We especially appreciated the home made healthy breakfast! We would highly recommend a stay here if you are looking for a peaceful, beautifully decorated and quiet place to stay at a reasonable price.
