Almost, Maine was a wonderfully funny and moving production with a lot of laughs. The Peninsula Players did a fantastic job and the setting on the shore of Green Bay is a real gem. This was the highlight of our trip to a Door County next to the natural beauty. You cannot go wrong taking in this production.

This was our 2nd theater experience on our road trip (attended Timber Lake Playhouse in Mt. Carroll IL a few days earlier). This also was a great theater experience. Venue itself is absolutely beautiful, with a great sound system and impressive sets. The portrayals by the professional actors (they played different characters in the various scenes) were delightful! "Almost Maine" is a very entertaining look at people like us. Would recommend highly just for the theater, but the outdoor beer garden and bonfire at lakeside prior to the show just made for a very pleasant and enjoyable evening!

Almost Maine was a play with constant laughter but also on a serious subject. It was a wonderful evening. Hidden back in the woods on the shore of Green Bay is a very nice theater with comfortable seating. They have an area for wheelchairs. A bon fire was burning prior to the show with a beautiful view of the setting sun. This is a professional theater. Changing of sets is seamless. Never expected such a treasure in this area. This is a must for an evening.

You can't go wrong with this beautiful setting and fabulous performance. Professional at it's best in a beautiful setting of nature at it's best.
We have never been disappointed with a show, love the murder mysteries but shows are very well done.

Although I admit that I am not a fan of Oscar Wilde, I knew that before we purchased tickets. The production itself is what I was unhappy about. The actors seemed lackluster, at best. After all, this was the final performance so maybe the actors were tired of it.

One specific problem I had were the actor's accents. I have never heard a more fake sounding German accent from a supposedly professional theater company.

Even with my complaints I still gave this three stars, mainly because we enjoy the venue. I will return, but perhaps not for the final performance of a production.
