We stayed at the White Gull Inn for 3 nights in June and enjoyed every minute of our visit. We stayed in Welker #6, a suite located on the lower floor, facing Main Street. The suite was elegantly decorated, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom with the double whirlpool was almost as large as the rest of the room. There was a really nice porch attached to the suite where we usually sat every night while drinking a glass of wine. As noted in other reviews, each morning we had our choice of the morning paper (Milwaukee or Chicago) and coffee left outside of our door at 7:30 AM. I guess, the only thing that we could have really used was a small refrigerator to store some drinks and leftovers from the wonderful dinners we had while in Door County. I did find out when we checked out that had we notified the staff in advance they would have made some sort of arrangement to keep our food items and drinks cold. The Inn is located at a quiet end of Main Street, not far from Sunset Park. The only activity we saw on our end of the street were the people visiting the White Gull Inn restaurant or those going to Sunset Park to see the absolutely incredible sunsets. The restaurant can be quite busy in the mornings for breakfast and the wait seemed long especially on the weekends. The good news is that guests just need to call the front desk to alert them that they are coming down for breakfast (giving them about 30 minutes notice) and a table was usually waiting. We are planning another visit this Fall and cannot wait to return to the White Gull Inn.

We've visited Door County many times and have eaten at The White Gull Inn in the past. We've said many times that some day when we had the chance we would stay here. We finally had our chance this week, and I'm sorry we didn't do this sooner. The accommodations, service and food were outstanding. We stayed in room 2 of the main building. Even though this is the smallest room at the inn, it was perfect for us. In addition to our bright and cheerful room, we had a covered porch overlooking the front of the inn that we really enjoyed. Coffee and a newspaper were brought to our room each morning around 7:00 a.m., and breakfast was served in the inn's restaurant any time between 7:30 and noon. We appreciated being able to go to breakfast at our leisure in the mornings. We had our choice of any breakfast item on the menu. The portions were not only large, but delicious. Since this week is still considered off-season, we were able to take advantage of the Inn's mid-week Winter Package, which included two free candlelight dinners with a two night stay. This added bonus made our stay at this charming and romantic inn economical . We were so impressed that we are already planning a return trip next year.

We have stayed in Door County many times and in the past have stayed at the White Gull's Lundberg House. This time there were only two of us so we stayed in Cliff B and we loved it! It was comfy, cozy, clean, quiet and tastefully decorated. The White Gull includes a VERY generous breakfast each day and it was so much food we didn't eat again until supper. Our room had a fireplace which we kept going most of the time we were there and since it was a cold winter weekend, it made it hard to leave the room! They do leave newspaper and coffee outside your door every morning, which was great too. The White Gull is walking distance to everything in downtown Fish Creek, is a block from the lake in one direction and two blocks in another and is on a quiet dead-end street. You will be pleased with the ambiance and the food at this place, the folks that work there are very helpful and I highly recommend it. I can't wait to get back there again soon but with my parents next time.

The White Gull Inn is beautiful and elegant. My husband and I had a great four day stay there. Our second floor suite was newly refurbished, clean, and so comfortable. We shared a lovely open porch overlooking Main Street with the visitors next to us -but still it was very private. The Inn is at the quiet end of the busy shopping district and steps away from Sunset Beach. Breakfast (included) was wonderful. You can order anything and everything off the menu. They regularly honored our reserved time which was nice considering the daily long wait for customers not staying at the Inn.. We had the Fish Boil there too which was just so-so, but I'm not a big fan of those. The only drawback is that the main floor of the Inn is small an gets extremely crowded in the morning during their very popular breakfast hours, therfore not private at all for Inn guests. I would not want the suite on the main floor for this reason. I would definately return to the White Gull Inn and recommend it highly.

been there for 3 nights. located on a dead end,it's so quiet. we stay at cliff B with private balcony, on the back side of the property which is fine, because lots of people com here to have breakfast or dinner. breakfast is really amazing, the staff is really kind. the fishboil is really good, but served so early (6 pm). fish creek is a good location for the county (washington island ferry is less than 30 min, peninsula parc is great for biking,...)
