Everything was absolutely great. Couple of things stood out and those were: the host and the quality of the equipment used in the appartment.
The host because I have never met a more dedicated person before, who really wanted to make sure that her guests were comfortable and got the most out of their stay in the appartment + the surroundings. She really took time to explain what options there were in the area, which hiking routes absolutely to take (and even the best driving directions to those spots), providing public transport passes etc. She was also very dog friendly and understood things like: where do we walk them/let them out, what to do in the buss with dogs etc. And many many other very usefull tips which you normally only will know when you live in this area. This family also runs an appartment/restaurant in the center of the town and I really recommend to go eat there. The 4-course meal (with local ingredients) is very tasty and totally worth it.
The appartment itself feels very new (it is 3 years old, but it looks like it was just build) and is very clean. Nice balcony with chairs/table/stretcher. There is a small river next to the house and all is very well isolated (heat and sound wise). All windows also have roll-down shutters for even further isolation and make it absolutely dark. There is a tabletennis table and outdoor+indoor parking for all guests. Wifi is free and signal is good throughout the property. The bathroom(s) are excellent. Very nicely done with very high quality equipment (Villeroy, Grohe, Duka, backlight mirror etc). So all the stuff you normally have/want at home as well. The appartment itself is a combination of wooden beams across the ceiling and also a very modern kitchen, floor, equipment, interiour etc. So its a combination of a warm appartment and luxury. The outside of the whole building is very nicely lit.
