We were eating there fairly often. We ate there a couple of weeks ago, but it wasn't very good and now they are closed.

Love the menu, love the ambiance, prices are decent and the portions plentiful. I really love the old decorations especially the sculpture beside the front desk. All I can say is get there as soon as you can- it is going downhill fast. They made us sit in the basement. (Can’t handle a party of eight, get out of the business.) One and a half hour later we had no food but plenty of excuses, when we saw a waitress- not often in the basement. They served my mushrooms with desert. We asked to speak to the manager. Apparently the system is the manager and they pay a waitress a little extra not to care. Worth taking a chance because you may have a great time. Get there soon.

Owner is a community minded businessman. Takes old, abandoned properties and turns them into unique restaurants. The food is excellent, service is great, prices are reasonable, selection is tremendous, the atmosphere unique. Love it!

We just had a wonderful lunch at CJ's and they were packed. The prices are great and the food great. We called in an order to go but had to wait in line while patrons were being seated. The food was correctly done, it's nice to see a business that can give a community what is needed.

We have frequented the CJ Maggie's in Buckhannon for years and everything had always been great. I expected the same at the Fairmont location. Unfortunately, I was wrong. We've been to the Fairmont location at least 7 times because we wanted to give them a chance; but they have ran out of chances. I don't see any more visits in our future. Here are some of the low-lights of our visits: As far as I know, there is one really good waitress, and the others range from you-must-be-the-owners daughter to so-so. Twice we had to find someone to seat us at a table. If you ask for extra napkins, you are directed to a roll of brown wrapping paper hanging on the wall. Service can be slow. We were given the correct bill, but some else's $24 bill was also charged to the credit card. The mixed drinks are terrible. Where else have you had to send back margaritas and pina coladas because they were terrible? Overall portions are somewhat large; but the dressings are skimpy. If you ask for what I consider an adequate portion of dressings, then you are charged. If you share an appetizer and ask for separate dipping bowls, you are charged for the extra bowl. Parking is terrible. There are two small, tight, poorly designed parking areas that are tricky to get in and out of. The lighting is somewhat dark.
