Great food and the chef was super good. He was entertaining and made the whole experience great! However, our waiter was the downfall. He was just disappear. I had to drink my husband's water and we finally just left the money on the table because he never came back. Good thing we didn't pay with credit or we would still be there.

We are not from here and were just looking for somewhere that has hibachi. This restaurant was nice and clean, the food was pretty good. Okay service, but took too long for food to be cooked.

This place is fun if you have never been. The decor is in need of updating and a little paint would go a long way. I took my daughter and her friend there for her bday. The girls were tired, however had a nice time. The chef was very animated and was very aware of the girls and their reactions. Price is good considering you are receiving a show as well. Watch the kids reactions when the "fire" happens. Its the best! We will be back!

Stopped in Beckley for the night and Fujiyama was close by so we thought we would give it a try. Pleasantly surprised that the food was good. We usually try to avoid the hibachi or Teppanyaki style places - more show and not very good go. This place is different! Some really interesting decor - some Japanese prints, some Chinese porcelain, and a wild set of table, chairs and backdrop in the foyer. There was some good craft beer and a variety of draughts on tap. The wait staff was very good and helpful especially when I complained that a second draught beer was off. The hibachi salmon was a bit over done and dry especially the thin parts of the filet. Calamari appetizer and shrimp tempura was okay but suffered by having a panko batter! Tempura batter should be thin and light tasting especially for seafood. Surprisingly more traditional batter was used for the vegetables which were cooked with crispness but too heavily battered. The udon soup bowl was huge with an excellent broth! We stayed away from the other offerings because they were obviously created for the North American sensitivity of what is good Asian food. I'm giving this restaurant a Good rating because they are trying but should be encouraged to not sell out and provide authentic options in their menu. For example for Tempura would you like a crispy batter or a light film.

This is a hibachi grill and sushi restaurant. We went for the sushi. We read most of the reviews as positive and we were leary of the few negatives. Our Marriott hotel gave us a 10% discount so we decided to give it a go. We weren't disappointed. There was a large selection, nothing was spectacular but all was fresh and tasty. Service was great. No wait on a Monday.
