This was probably the most expensive lunch we have ever had but the view was gorgeous. Granted, if you want fresh halibut and crab meat it is going to cost. Throw in a couple of alcoholic beverages plus tip and you have spent over $100. Service was excellent and we had a table but the window of the water that rivaled none. We probably could have come at happy hour and saved some bucks but it is what it is when on vacation.

I stooped in for a soup and salad and couldn't have had a better experience.

Friendly, efficient, beautiful decor, waterfront view and the cajun chowder was exquisite! The Cesar salad wonderful and the bread devine!

Great place. A must try for anyone in the area.

Great place with superb food. We were visiting from Sacramento and our children took us here for lunch. It was worth it, and more! The halibut and pan seared salmon - above all. The clam chowder was impressive, better than Boudine's in many ways. When in Seattle-Tacoma area will visit again.

The best way to end a wonderful visit is with a great dinner that we don't have to cook and clean up! Went to Duke's on the Tacoma waterfront and enjoyed everything they served. Atmosphere, service, view, and company were first rate. If I had 1 complaint it would be serving sizes. For the $$$ spent, I would like to have a little more food. Taste, quality, and selection is top of the line. Always think of going there when I'm in town. I wanted the chowder sampler plate but they were out of 1 kind, had to 'settle' for another choice.

We dined at Duke's while in Tacoma golfing with friends. We tried the halibut a number of ways and they were all done very nicely. On the trip we trip chowder at every restaurant that offered it and the consensus of our group was that Duke's is the best!
