Maggie at the front desk greeted us by saying they had no record of our reservation. She denied losing our reservation that I had made through the restaurant website form 3 weeks in advance. I stated I did not wish to use Open Table on that form, and soon got a phone call saying our reservation was confirmed. Maggie said they would never make a phone call. Off to a bad start.
I have heard of this restaurant for years, as being one of Spokane's finest, so encouraged our friends to join us at lunch on a Sunday, since we were in town from Canada for the weekend, and celebrating a couple of special occasions. The dinner menu prices seen online were clearly above our budget, so we specifically booked lunch there.
We were disappointed to be handed dinner menus at 1 pm. Who wants a full blown fine dining meal midday, after specifically coming midday to order from the lunch menu?
Maggie was still arguing with us at the table, that we did not have a reservation, nor did they serve lunch on Sundays.
Fortunately, our server, "Brit the blonde" came to our rescue by offering us the bar snack menu. Then we ordered the lunch we came expecting.
Brit saved the day. She was so good with us after witnessing how rude Maggie was to us. We have nothing but praise for Brit.
Unfortunately, we will not be back. The food was very average.
