This is an inexpensive MOTEL. The kind you drive up to your door. Remember those? We came for a clinic in Spanaway. The beds were satisfactory. The towels and room were clean. There was a 'motel' smell in our room, but we were only sleeping there, right? There is a fridge & microwave. They allow dogs, so that is a huge advantage for many people. ( not necessary for us) I could hear the neighboring guests talking clearly through the 'adjoining' door. Our stay was less than $100 a night for 2 queen beds. It was okay for us ( I've slept in youth hostels , so this was nicer..) they serve a continental bfast. Walmart is 7 min away. The staff was very friendly. Just keep in mind, you stay here for the price. Not for the amenities. ( the Wifi worked beautifully.)

Guys - this place is not anywhere near as bad as some of the other reviewers are telling you. Fact is, I had two quiet and restful nights here. Yes, the Motel is freeway adjacent, but I did not hear any of that noise. The room was clean, and there were no bugs, as others suggested. The price was great, and the location not bad - I had daily trips to destinations in Fife, and in South Puyallup, so could not have picked a better middle ground spot.

Look - don't gripe unreasonably cuz you are only willing to pay 1 star prices but still expect to get four or five star accommodations and/or amenities. Cut Motel Puyallup some slack - the staff did a great job. You want JW? Put up the bucks and stay at a JW property.

Room Tip: Doesn't much matter.

Stayed in room 218 which seem to have been updated recently. Had Laminate wood flooring and paint looked fresh. This was a very nice touch to the room and made it seem extra clean. Our friends who stay in another room didn't have the updated flooring yet but their room still was very clean. Great location if you're going to be going to the fairgrounds. So close you can just walk over there. They do have continental breakfast with very limited options (Muffins, Oatmeal, Coffee & Juice, Fruit, and Croissants)

Sheets were dingy off white color they could probably use some bleaching compared to the pillowcases which were very white. Shower head is very low. TV hummed and needs updated. There was a little bit of a mix up I think with another person checking out who said that they were in our room so towards the end of our stay of key stopped working and housekeeping just walked in without knocking first but she was quick to say sorry and closed the door.

Overall though our room was very clean and staff was friendly. I would definitely recommend this motel to a guest who is wanting clean and affordable room in Puyallup.

Room Tip: Ask for room with updated flooring, 2nd floor, and non-smoking.

The price was reasonable for the night and it suited us for our next stop in Seattle. The staff were friendly and the room was clean. There's a few local shops so you can get something to eat. nothing really to shout about.
