This was an anniversary dinner for us. With a first time visit to this restaurant, we didn't know what to expect but from the moment we entered, we felt at home with friendly service. When we ordered our food, some regulars said how much they enjoyed the same! Nice decor and low music track.

Stopped in for coffee and dessert before our ferry home. We had the blackberry pie à la mode, crumble-topped amaretto peach pie & Victorian coffee. Absolutely delicious! After a weekend of lackluster restaurant service in Ocean Shores, this was much needed! Our server, Marian, was quick and friendly; getting our order & check fast as she knew we had a ferry to catch. Thank you for restoring our faith in customer service!

Great lunch on a rainy day in Port Townsend. Options available included fish tacos for celiac (gluten free) diner, which were very good (particularly considering the distance from Mexico). Highly recommend the berry pie for dessert.

Whenever we are in Port Townsend, a visit to Silverwater is up front on the venue. The service efficient and friendly, the decor is quite beautiful and the food is consistently perfect. I can see why it gets number 1 rating in Trip Advisor restaurants in Port Townsend.

We live in town and have been coming to the Silverwater Café for years. Each experience over the last couple of years has been worse than the one before. After we and two friends went there for dinner a week ago, I decided that I will not go back. The “gluten-free” pasta dish I had made me very sick, in a way that is specific to a gluten reaction. No question. So if you are Celiac or gluten intolerant, stay away! As if that weren’t enough, our server was terse and unfriendly. This had nothing to do with us; she just walked up to our table that way; we all commented upon it. When we asked questions about the various dishes we were considering, the server’s answers were surprising: “no that isn’t local, it’s canned and has been frozen. No, that isn’t wild or local, it comes from Thailand.” Et cetera. If what she said was true, conscientious ingredient sourcing at the Silverwater has gone out the window. As I said, I’m not going back. If you want a good restaurant in town, try Quench.
