The cottages were large, clean, and great places to stay. You could put a lot more people in the cabins if you had air mattresses. The tables in the garden were great places to relax at the end of the day. A beautiful location. The beds were great.

Room tip: The bed rooms were warm even though it was nice and cool at night.

As bicyclists we hope you had a chance to discover our pub, Taps, when you visited. It is the perfect venue for thirsty cyclists!

Seven of us (family of 5 plus grandparents) stayed at Fort Worden for two nights in June. Made for a great base to use in the Port Townsend area. Being right by the beach was a ton of fun. I just wished we had more time!

Thank you for sharing about your visit. Yes, people sometimes don't realize that we are the only state park in Washington actually located within city limits.Since that city is the wonderful Victorian seaport of Port Townsend, it makes for an amazing combination.

Housing accommodations were fantastic! Anyone coming should know that they should expect to have to pay to do any of the museum tours and the tour hours are not your typical full day. They are open for only a few hours in the middle of the day. Perfect place to come and explore the bunkers and learn more about field artillery and precise engineering at the turn of the century.

The Coast Artillery was a very special branch of the service in its time. To be able to hit a moving target at night out in the Straits, using just a searchlight and mathematics, is amazing. We hope you can visit again when the Coast Artillery Museum is giving its Saturday tours up on Artillery Hill.

We had the most amazing long weekend at Fort Worden! The house was beautiful, clean, and held a large goup of us. Loved the closed in porch, which was heated, so we could eat and gather there. We flew kites, walked the beach, played in the bunkers, had a bonfire, played soccer, brought our BBQ and had some great meals. There was something for everyone to do at the Fort!

Good location. Hiking trails on premises. Professional staff. Clean rooms. Decent kitchen. Quiet. Taps at the Guardhouse is a nice bar with food. Calm atmosphere. Unique setup on former military installation.
