We can't say enough nice things about our stay at Roaring River! Peggy and Herschel are the most kind, charming hosts and really do everything they can to make sure that you have a comfortable and relaxing stay. We booked the Mountain Room, which was wonderfully spacious and private. The bed was very comfortable, and we loved having the little kitchenette! The room was stocked with plenty of plates, cups, silverware and most importantly, coffee!
Pictures don't do justice to how beautiful and secluded the property is. We gasped when we walked up to check in and saw the view of the river. It's absolutely beautiful and the constant roar of it is very soothing. If you're looking to really get away and feel like you're in the middle of nature, this is the place to be! There is a trail going down to the river, but it's definitely steep, so be careful! There are plenty of little spots to hang out and look at the river, but we most enjoyed the heated tea and coffee room, which had plenty of tea, coffee and snacks that you could help yourself to 24/7.
Peggy's breakfasts were super tasty. The first morning she made corn fritters with maple syrup and a side of berries and cream, and the second morning was a very hearty sausage and potato scramble with warm pastries on the side. They were both delicious and the perfect way to start the day. We loved the convenience and privacy of having Herschel drop the basket off in the morning! I joked with a friend that this B&B is like an introvert's dream, but it really is.
If you are a dorky Twin Peaks fan like I am, the B&B is pretty convenient to all of the filming locations you'd want to see, and is only 18 minutes away from Snoqualmie Falls and Salish Lodge (aka The Great Northern).
We will definitely be back!
