We were in Tacoma area on business at McChord and booked this hotel for location. It really can't be any closer to McChord so I definitely recommend it for this reason.
No complaints really. Our check in went smooth; the rooms weren't ready as we arrived early but the desk clerk put our luggage in their storage area.
The rooms were extremely clean, decent sized with comfortable beds and great TV channel selection.
The hot breakfast is always a nice feature but selection was a little limited at this location when I went down at 6:30 AM; out of fruit, sausages and low on yogurt. I guess I'm a little spoiled staying at Homewood Suites with their breakfast selection.
Two of us were in rooms 401 and 403, the quiet side of hotel. Our third travelling companion was in room 415 and she said there was quite a bit of highway noise in her room.
The hotel is located next to a busy highway so definitely request a room on the quiet side. Location seems to be in a rougher area of town. As for price, we had Government discount of $112 a night. Seemed perhaps a little expensive for the area but pretty typical with other Holiday Inn Express.More
