With family visiting from out of town, one of whom hates seafood, we chose Scott's over our usual Arnies. Although the food was overall very good, the noise level in the restaurant on a Saturday night made it impossible for the server to make herself heard. Our party was unable to converse with each other, and after a few attempts to talk to each other, we gave up trying. It had been a couple of years since we'd been to Scotts, and after several minutes at our table, I remembered why! When I returned home, I made a note about the noise next to Scott's phone number for future reference.
That said, the drinks were good, the artisan garlic bread was enjoyed by all, and the caprese salad special, parmesan-encrusted trout, Bistro steak, and prime rib were hits. The Cowboy steak was two thumbs down (too charred on the outside), and the horseradish mashed potatoes, served with all our meat and fish entrees, were too horseradishy for some. The chocolate indulgence cake was one of the best we've ever tried.
Scott's has good food and is in a convenient location. I'm sure they could do something about the acoustics. In the meantime, though, we'll go somewhere else when we want to enjoy the company as well as the food!
