Two of us decided to try Island Pie for a late (9pm) dinner. I'm so glad we did! There was a light crowd, all seeming to enjoy themselves. A string bass leaned in one corner, and we were sad to have missed the live local musician. It was dark, but I know how nice the view is from the deck overlooking the marina.
The menu is not long, but varied. Gluten free options available for those who need or want. Each pizza has a suggested wine pairing, and the wine selection is unusual. The sausage pizza was excellent and we both enjoyed the wine. We had leftover pizza to take home, shared a glass of fine chianti and a slice of delicious apple pie ala mode -- all for around $40.
Margaret was busy tracking orders and tasks, the kitchen crew was cheerful and entertaining, and Bob was a charming and relaxed host. We will definitely return, both with friends and for another date night.
