This was very convenient to our room so we spent our last evening having dinner here. It’s a nice restaurant with plenty of seating. Our server was very congenial. We ordered a seafood pasta & chicken with penne pasta with artichoke. The dinners came with a white bean & salad. All very well prepared & tasty. Enjoyed our evening.

We were staying at the inn so it was very convenient. The service and food was Very Good! There was a gentleman playing piano which was very nice. We had the clams and the a seafood salad. I would recommend this place to anyone that wants to have a nice romantic meal in an authentic old lodge.

We visited in early May and the hours for this restaurant were very limited - Thursday- Monday 5:00 to 8:00 PM. The service was great, the atmosphere was great, and the food was great as well. We had the seafood salad and it was loaded with seafood, and for dessert we had the creme brûlée it was perfect on top crunchy but not burnt. Only thing that would have made it better is to add some fresh fruit to garnish the top.

Was staying in one of the cabins on site, so it made sense that we would check this place out for dinner. The place is only open Fri-Sun from 5pm-8pm, so hubby and I played some ping pong and horseshoes in the yard out front while we waited for the place to open.

Service was very welcoming. Ron Myers on the piano was very entertaining. The restaurant itself feels like you’re in someone’s home. A very nice vibe without being pretentious.

The food: We started off with a white bean and basil soup which was very tasty. They served it family style and brought one big bowl to the table to be served in smaller bowls, which I thought was fun. The soup was a little under seasoned but easily fixed with a pinch of salt. Personally, I would have used bigger beans in the soup, but that was just preference. We were also served a nice garden salad and baguette.
We had the Sunday night fried chicken with mashed potatoes and grilled broccolini - amazing. I grew up on southern comfort food and this place nailed it. Chicken was perfectly fried and juicy. Mashed potatoes and broccolini needed no additional seasoning.

Here comes the disappointment. We ordered the creme brûlée - my all time favorite dessert. We got about halfway through and found a long hair in it. We alerted our waiter and he took it away, and even removed it from our bill. His professional response is the only reason I marked this as 3 stars and not 2. I know things happen, but hair in the food is yuck.

Aside from the hair, which was hopefully just a one off, this place was really tasty.

It was close to our Inn so we went but it was nothing special. Average selection and average execution.
