Having been to Israel many times I was excited to see Cafe Jerusalem here in Northland.
I had the Burekas which for just $4 each are very good value. Delicious. The cafe is a bit hard to find as its in a courtyard off the Main Street of Kerikeri. Definitely worth the drive from Paihia.

Great middle eastern food, albeit a la Israeli. Good Israeli wine also .... very nice place .... worth the money!!

I'd liken the experience to eating out as a hungover uni student at a cheap takeaway- average but greasy goodness. We wanted to try it all so ordered the shared platter option (2x meat, 2x vegetarian) $42 for 2.

Pros:
-If you like Israeli cuisine you might be satisfied (I've had significantly better so I wouldn't rate this place)

Not so great:
-Rinky-dink chairs and tables
-Expect to be asked more than four times if you want drinks (I felt like that's where they made their money! There is good service, then there is badgering)
-Tight space with limited seating, tucked down a paved courtyard in central Kerikeri among other cheap takeaways

Overall my advice would be to skip this place and spend your money at the many other local great cafes/restaurants in Kerikeri - i.e. Wharepuke, Pear tree, Santeez!
