I went with 2 mates for my 50th birthday to do some serious fishing. A short flight from Darwin saw us land on a tree lined airstrip on the tip of the Coburg Peninsula. The lodge is the old lighthouse keepers building, and though not luxurious is very comfortable. The main thing is the fishing and was excellent ( spectacular for some of the other guests who stayed at the same time). Some of the locations are a long boat ride away, but the peace & quiet were fantastic! The staff were very helpful, the food first class. Well organized, good to great fishing, a very worthwhile trip which I hope to repeat. Watch out for the sandflies!!!
