As you enter you a greeted by friendly and helpful staff all is well in the world you get up to you room and youre hit with a wave of depression when you see your extra small single beds and what i can only describe as a ipad sized non smart tv. No mini fridge only a tiny kettle with 2 tea bags. The shampoo dispenser looks like it belongs in a public toilet so wont be going near that. No socket on the wall when the room is turned into a twin. At this point id rather be in work so bonus on the over time i suppose. Walls are nice and dusty.

is this a hotel for ants?

Being half way between home and the Devon coastlines, Portishead is ideal as a journey breaker.

This travelodge is probably our favourite due to its location but also because it is clean, comfortable and the staff are friendly.

Within 10 minutes of the M5 it is easy to find. Parking is shared with Lidl and free when the registration is logged at reception.

There are several eateries and supermarkets nearby as well as the lovely marina walk. Our favourite eatery is the Italian restaurant across the road which offers a discount. Also used the Subway for brunch the next day.

From a Covid point of view it looked very organised and there were several emails in advance explaining the protocols.

There was some work going on at the adjoining Lidl but this stopped before it got too late. Can’t think of any negatives other than that and it was nice to see full provision of refreshments for a family room!

We’ll definitely call again.

Stayed at this hotel for a few weeks. Brilliant COVID 19 safety measures there, rooms are clean and the bed was probably one of the comfiest I have had in a hotel for ages.
The hotel is situated next a short walk to the Marina and easy access to the motorway.
Staff are absolutely amazing. A big thanks to all the staff particularly Mitch and the manager of the hotel. Well done all.

Arrived late in the evening meet at reception by Roger. Very helpful and informative. All felt very COVID secure masks and shielding etc. Room comfortable clean and tidy. Checked out next morning. Yet again staff very cheerful. Over all a very pleasant over night stay
