Mid week lunch stop. Other reviews noted service concerns; they were correct. I would have rated a 5 had it not been for the slow and misguided service. We were seated quickly; we were 1 of 5 tables and we're surprised at the slow service. 10 minutes to get tea and milk. 2 of our party ordered the crab chowder; which was forgotten by the server and would not have arrived at all had my wife not mentioned it when our entrees arrived. Chowder was great as were the crab cakes and crab dip. Had Service not been so mediocre, I would have given this a 5. On other notes, not a single handicapped parking spot; had to park across the street. For those disabled, beware of the uneven floor just inside the entrance; it's a lawsuit in the making.

Thank Thomas S

Table of 6 for lunch Saturday, August 12. The server spilled the butter sauce as he served the hush puppies. It completely covered an arm of the two-year -old from elbow to hand, running from there into and onto the diaper bag and floor. We did hear the words "I'm sorry" one time. He returned with a handful of paper napkins so that the customers could mop up the floor and diaper bag. He didn't offer any wet wipes to help clean the arm or anything other than napkins to clean the diaper bag. We asked for a new set of cloth napkins to replace the ones used to mop up the sauce. We were given more paper ones. When we received the check, we found that, after spilling food all over the 2 year old, he charged her for her pasta dish. He also charged the group for the hush puppies appetizer after spilling the sauce on a baby and a bag. I guess he figured since he replaced the sauce, it was fine. He did not offer to have the bag cleaned for the parents. I'm guessing that this employee probably complained at his 10% tip since he didn't really seem to be concerned about the spill. When the issue was brought to the attention of the two employees staffing the front desk as we left, they asked for the server's name, but did not send for a manager or offer bag cleaning, or an adjustment to the bill for the 2 year old that received the sauce coating. We won't be going back.

We ate outside - pleasant breeze, watched a few boats go by - not at all noisy. The restaurant was about half full - most people had ordered salads. I had one of their "off the beaten path" salads - always terrific - unusual combinations and very well done. A great place to come - lots of history in the area - some unique shops and the shop keepers are very pleasant and will chat you up for sure.

Located in Historic Occoquan, this large waterfront restaurant is situated along a riverwalk, and you can watch kayakers, ducks and geese, and boaters, while enjoying tasty seafood and a friendly atmosphere. We had the fish sandwich and substituted slaw. Both were very good. The service was friendly, but a tad slow. The menu has a variety of items to appeal to most, and there is a children's menu. Other patrons seemed to be ordering the clam chowder, so that's on the list for the next visit. Overall, this is an enjoyable local restaurant I would return to.

Stopped due to a bad accident on I-95. Decent menu and prices. Good place for a large crowd inside or out. Bar had a band later we just missed. Informal place seemed popular with locals. A shorts and sandals kind of place. Nice wait staff made sure we were happy, cleared plates, etc. There is public parking further down the street under the bridge and a few spots around town. A nice little town to wander around before or after a meal.
