What an excellent place. So clean and friendly. Yes, it is small, but you can clearly see that another stage will be added in the near future. All of the animals seemed so happy. I liked the information that was given about each animal, such as its' previous history, personality and what it likes to eat. The star of the Haven is without doubt Xahbu the black gibbon with health problems-what a lovely boy!!!
I think £7.95 is a very reasonable price, because you can see that the profit goes back into the animals.

We visited with my children and two sets of grandparents. We were all very impressed with the haven. The enclosures are big, full of things to enrich the animals lives. It was very interesting to read the stories behind the various animals' journeys to the haven. Top class for the vistors and the animals in terms of knowledge of the animals and also cleanliness and space. There was also a lovely play area for the children. We spent a good two hours here and all enjoyed it and felt hopeful that our short visit and the money we spent while there will help continue the marvelous work of the dedicated people who look after this brilliant place.

Cant praise this place enough for the work they are doing this haven is hand built from the ground up by a father and son team we decided to go for a monkey encounter and my husband had 6 climbing all over him at once! A truly worthwhile trip and a great way to spend half a day

Our second visit to this growing attraction & so glad we came back. The belief & effort that has gone into the creation and ongoing development of this Haven is truly remarkable. The feeling that you get from visiting here is that the animals are at the heart of everything they do, and as you spend time watching them you can tell that they`re happy here. I`ve got to say the facilities are really well thought out with easy wheelchair access, great childrens facilities including a fantastic new play area where the Monkeys can watch the children climbing around! I`ve never written a review for anywhere like this before, but this place has something going on that to really get, you`ve got to see for yourself.....if you`ve made the journey to the Island, then this is an absolute MUST!! P.S. Great staff too!!

We were a party of 4,
one of our friends walks with assistance we found that the ground was reasonably level with only slight hills, but near some of he temporary enclosures there is gravel which was awkward for his wheels but as this is temporary its not a long standing problem, the rest of the enclosures have good paved walkways with good viewing access. it is well worth catching the keepers talks as these are very amusing & informative telling the stories behind the animals in their care this is a relativly new attraction so wor is ongoing to provide more enclosures etc so it will be good to visit regularly to see the progress.
the restaurant/cafe serves good food at a reasonable price served with a smile!
the only thing that was a bit dissapointing was the £50 per person to feed the Lemurs as we would like to have done this but we had a limited budget! but dont let this put you off it is a good place to visit. we found half a day was sufficient to take a steady walk round without rushing.
