Spiez is not that popular among Asian tourists as compared to Lucerne, Grindelwald or Interlakan. I chose this city, wanting to have some peace and quietness and away from those noisy tourists (particularly those from Mainland China!)

Coming out from the train station, cross the street, turn left and all the way downhill to the end, don't cross the road and turn right, the hotel is about 50-80 meters ahead. You may consider buying something from the supermarket before heading to hotel, which is on the right hand side of the train station.

The room is very tiny and basic, cannot described as comfortable but it is very clean and cheap anyway. My room face the lake but does not enjoy a full view. There is a common terrace area on the 1/F where you can have the full lake view.

Breakfast is considered good given the quality of the room and price.

There are not many restaurants around. But you can eat at the restaurant on the ground floor.

When going back, it is uphill and it is quite steep.

The view!!! Loved it... Our room had a balcony facing the lake. The food was also one of the best that we had in Switzerland. It was basic stuff, but yumm. The rooms are quite small, but then it is quite normal in that part of the world. If you do not care about luxury and are on the look out for a memorable stay, laze around in the balcony and enjoy the view, or even walk around, drool at the houses in the town, enjoy the lake, the chapel etc.

Room Tip: Opt for a room with the lake view

Good location, just 5 mins walk from train station. Simple breakfast and near to lake shore and fort. Also Interlaken is 20 mins ride where there are good hotels of all sorts. The hotel has good view of Lake.

Arrive at peer of "Spiez Town" to go to this hotel and realized a walk is up hill, carry all my belonging to this hotel is quite challenging as high hill and long distance. Spent 20 min. of slow walk to Hotel and then when open room's window all my tired has gone and see another beautiful instead. Room decorate with a worm wooden and clean , big enough. They also include breakfast for you. Hotel Away from Railway Station for 10 min walk ( Also up hill )

Room Tip: Ask for a lake view.

This is a family owned hotel. The employees are very friendly and the value for money is great. You are at the lake in 5 minutes and the view is great. In the evening you can enjoy a lovely dinner at the restaurant.
I have been here a few times and always got a good service!
