La Española used to be my favorite place
It has a beautiful Terrace and it offers traditional Spanish food, mostly cooked on the grill. It also has a large and reasonably priced wine list.
It is a great place to celebrate anything with large groups.
I stopped going to this restaurant because I noticed that the waiters were unhappy when you did not order large amounts of food. Unfortunately the owners were not acting differently. I understand that restaurants are a challenging business and that spain has faced a difficult economic crisis. I also understand that restaurants have a limited number of tables and they need to try to maximize the revenue per person seated. Nonetheless when your restaurant is not completely full, it is not a good idea to upset those customers even though they are not ordering or spending a lot of a lot of money in your place.
I might return to this restaurant after almost a year without visitong, and see if things have evolved and I will be happy to report back.
