A very good 3 star with spacious rooms and bathrooms and a partly enclosed balcony. Clean and very close to the restaurants on the waterfront. Decent breakfast was included. They have parking also if requested.

The hotel is very well located in the village about 100 metres from the sea and port. The desk staff were efficient and we were very lucky to get one of the tiny number of street parking spaces outside on arrival. Rooms are clean, tidy and quite spacious with a good sized balcony.

As others have commented there are a few renovations/updates that would benefit the general appearance. Nothing major though. Breakfast is a bit "basic" though and tables that have been used are not cleared so you arrive to a salon of tables covered in leftovers.

A few small improvements could make a huge difference here.

Location was perfect. A one minute stroll to the beach, 5 minutes to the bus stop and 15 to Port Lligat (on foot). The room was clean and comfortable. There was a continental breakfast included. The staff were super in helping to arrange transportation, leave our bags past check-out and make phone calls.

Great rooms good price with massive rooms. We had a room on the road side which was noisy as there was an Asian takeaway opposite with Arabs smoking drugs, asked the staff to move them which they did. Great super market opposite.

Room tip: Back of the hotel

It's a nice building and very well located near the sea front and centre of the village. The rooms are spacious and clean and comfortable. There is parking on the street outside if you can find a space. It was probably a nice hotel once but now you basically have a room in a building with a breakfast just about on the acceptable side of minimal. There is a skeleton staff and as far as we could see no management presence. Neither the drinks nor the snack machine were working and it has a run down feel about the place and is not cheap given the lack of facilities. We were there on the Tuesday after the referendum on Sunday 1st October when there was a general strike, no shops, cafes or restaurants were open. Whereas some hotels laid on sandwiches or snacks for their guests, this hotel had nothing not even working snack or drink machines. There is a bar in the hotel but it clearly has not opened for years and it was not possible to buy a beer or a drink. Other hotel managers said they thought it their responsibility to lay on what they could for their guests in Octavia there is no management let alone any sense of responsibility towards their guests. I don't blame the staff who were present, they get their lack of initiative from the management who are the ones to blame and if they want to run a hotel they should get their act together and run one properly!
