Just arrived back in the UK after a week at the Globales Bouganvilla, travelling as a family with two children aged 12 and 13. The reviews seemed a bit mixed so we weren't sure what to expect - but we were pleasantly surprised. Our room was a one bedroomed apartment on the ground floor right next to the main pool, which meant we only had to walk out of our front door for a swim. The hotel is spotless: rooms are cleaned daily and the pool area cleaned regularly. We ate every day in the Italian buffet restaurant as the food was so good - lots of variety and something to please even the fussiest of kids. There was very little waiting or queuing for food despite what some reviews said as the restaurants are open for a 2-3 hours each time so it never got over full. The TUI reps were fabulous, especially Andrew and Laura who went out of their way to be helpful and made our 3 star stay feel like a 5 star one - thank you! We used the free shuttle bus most days to go to the beach, which was beautiful, and often went back by taxi (5 euros) on an evening to wander around the shops and stop for a coffee at one of the bars. I've stayed at many places and hotels over the years ranging from 3 to 5 star, and the Globales gets a huge thumbs up for what it offers. It's ideal for families with kids, has the friendliest of staff and is way above the 3 star standard I've experienced in other parts of Europe. So don't pay too much mind to the nit-pickers on this forum, we were more than satisfied!

Stayed for a week during July, with two 11 year olds who had a fab time, especially in the water park. Hotel is very clean, rooms (we had a 1 bed apartment) were adequate (floors could have done with a clean though), food is good. It was very busy during our stay, as mentioned in other reviews, sun beds were hard to come by! Tables in restaurants weren't replenished as quickly as needed so more staff there would help. The entertainment we saw (not much) was not great but that didn't bother us. Our main disappointment was part of the waterpark being shut during our stay for maintenance. As the hotel is shut for several months of the year it seems crazy that this wasn't done then. We would walk down to SaComa, takes 15 mins, the beach is lovely but sunbeds/brollies are pricey. Took a taxi into Calla Millor where there's more shopping if that's what you like and a bigger, busier beach.
This is a family hotel and if that's what you are looking for you will have a great time!

Reading reviews prior to going made us a little apprehensive about the hotel but any concerns we had were soon quashed on arrival. Fantastic family holiday for our 10 year old, 7 year old and 4 year old. So much to do for them, one pool area has two pools and a children's splash activity area and the splash park has 8 slides (height restrictions) a children's splash area with four slides, a bubble fun pool, deep pool and a splash fun area. We loved the splash park which opened at 10am, meaning we didn't have to get up too early to reserve our sun beds and there seemed to be more space than at the main pool. The older children went on the big slides in eye-sight and the younger children played at the children's splash pool. Water safety is taken seriously with several life guards on site.
The hotel is a few minutes trip to the beach on the free bus which has lots of lovely little shops near. There is a wide selection of food, holidaying with another family with a 9 year old and a 4 year old, all nine of the party didn't fail to fill a plate. Food preference for the holiday was eating in the new decor pizzeria, which housed all sorts of food and desserts - if you got there before 7pm you were likely to have a table and less queues at serving. We also ate at the splash pool snack bar often in the days, constantly replenished with ham toasties, burgers, chips, salad etc.
Rooms were immaculate with fantastic maid service - we were tended to with clean bedding and towels (including beach / pool towels) daily. The hotel is very clean, grounds are tended to and outside paths washed daily (here's me thinking it had rained!), bins are plentiful for used drinks etc. Heard a few complaints during our stay; one was that one the large pool was closed due to child dropping faeces in the pool (even though they're extremely clear about the need for swim nappies at all times to avoid this situation). Personally I would prefer the pool was closed for a two hour stint of rigorous cleaning. Entertainment team are fantastic and have a way with the children, not just in the day but at night in the mini disco. You must catch the Lion King show - huge efforts and great acting. All in all, an excellent holiday and although costly for a family of 5 - absolutely worth every penny. Lots of fun memories made!

Room tip: Ground floor was easy to access, one bedroom apartment was spacious enough for us as a couple and three beds in living space.

Stayed for 1 week in July and thought hotel was great with no complaints as everything was as advertised
I preferred the Waterpark area & pools as was great with various slides to suit all ages and was never overcrowded as the other main pool was salt water that I am not keen on but that never seemed to bother most guests
The waterpark area also had a snack bar serving food & drink that saved you going back to the main restaurants for a snack
Main restaurants were the usual all inclusive and busy at certain times with a good range of food and self-service drink machines.
Entertainment was also quite good with outside acts brought in for evening show and never had to wait long to be served at bar
Pool towels & Bag also provided in room which was also good.
I was happy with room and was quite small with TV on wall but was as described and was perfectly suitable so no complaints as I don’t go on holiday to stay in room.
Overall great hotel and would recommend if you are looking for a waterpark and all inclusive holiday with the kids.
Free wifi that worked around hotel grounds

I booked this holiday online through Thomson and as it was 4T I mistakenly thought that meant it was 4☆too. I only noticed my mistake after booking and was disappointed as it had not been made clear on the website.
However we were not disappointed and I can genuinely say it was better than some 4☆ hotels I have stayed in. I really don't understand the bad reviews as we have just returned from a fabulous family holiday at this hotel.
We stayed for 10 nights and found the choice of food excellent. They did have the pasta and chips for every meal (which kept my kids happy) but there was also a great variety of meat, fish and veggie dishes to complement this. And the breakfasts were excellent.
Our room was a little cramped and could do with a little bit of modernisation but it was perfectly adequate and was kept spotless throughout our stay. In fact the whole resort was kept very clean.
The facilities for kids were amazing although my 6 year old son was disappointed that he was just under the height allowed on the big slides in Spashworld. There was of course plenty for him to do but he didn't appreciate that his older sister could go on and he couldn't so I think this should be indicated prior to booking.
In other reviews it has been mentioned that there were a lot of additional things to pay for. I see their point but we just restricted what we spent. We filled our water bottles from the taps and our children were allowed to choose one treat each night e.g.something from the shop or an activity.
It was a 20 minute walk to the beach which we did a couple of times at night but there was also a complimentary bus from the hotel which was good during the heat of the day.
We were not really bothered with the entertainment. We watched a couple of shows and the only decent one really was the Chinese acrobats which were amazing!
All in all we had a great time and I would thoroughly recommend this hotel for anyone travelling with kids. In fact my kids have asked if we can go back next year (when my son is taller 😉).
