The hotel is More is located in a small bay which has beautiful views. There is only one other hotel in the bay, which to me is a annoying AI french resort, but the staff are very friendly if you want to visit. We couldn't think of anything to complain about this hotel apart from watching other people clearing their own plates in a 3 star hotel on their holidays! The staff never ask you to do this and are more than willing to clear your table if you leave your dishes. Our room, as requested was on the top floor (room 313) and had a massive balcony with lovely views. It had free air con, TV with a few Engish channels, bathroom was nice with a powerful shower and was cleaned very well every day. The pool is very clean and has a small baby pool which my 20 month old nephew loved. We got a sun bed every day after 9am (in peak season) and the staff were friendly and always helpful to me and my sister. The hotel is not buggy friendly, but we managed OK with the help of some kind people and the extra hotel lift no one seems to know about in the out side seating area. Alucida Old town is 15 min walk & the port a good 45 from the hotel. The food was very good, always fresh lots of choice and home cooked, we didn't plan on eating there much but didn't miss one meal all holiday! Red Rum bar is 5 mins away and staff are very friendly, I recommend the sangria is very strong & only 6 euro's a jug! You will have a lovely relaxing hol if you have booked at this hotel, we loved it. It is out of the way a bit but regular buses, taxis and easy walking distance to the old town.

The people on the front desk need a course in service and politeness!! They were rude and treated us as though we were annoying them if we needed to ask them a question. Other guests we talked to shared this view. When I was standing at the front desk with our 8-year old, trying to exhange a 5 Euro into euro coins for a mashine, two of the staff were talking to eachother, and kept us waiting for several minutes. When a woman attended to us, she did this obviously annoyed about the interuption of her chat with her collegue.
One day when we got to our room, the cleaner had left a rude note saying the room was to dirty to clean. We had a one-year old and a eight-year old, there was a bit of sand from the toys, and some toys. But we don´t drink or smoke, and never ate in our room.
The room was small and uncomfortable, very basic. However the worst part of the hotel was the reception area and communal areas , it was pretty run down, to say the least. This is supposed to be a 4 star hotel, it is nowhere near 4 stars, but maybe a very basic 3-star.
The breakfast buffet was messy and not very clean. There was actually several guests who got a stomach upset when we were there, including our eldest daughter, who was in bed vomiting for a day and a half.
I will never go back to this hotel.

We had a week off in Alcudia at the end of April. Hotel was suppose to be children friendly and thats why we have chose it . The hotel is indeed children friendly with children's pool, playground and a good beach. The water in the pool however was cold (+18-19) for little ones. The room was a big disappointment. Worn down and a bad sewer smell came from the bath room. We complained to the staff but no help or change of room was offered. First night we had to sleep with the windows open during the night in order to reduce the smell. This resulted however in a mosquito invasion in the room and my kids suffered several bites.

The beach is nice especially at this time of the year and there were not so many people there.

We selected an all inclusive for the trip and the food is okay but below average.

The cleaning of the room was however very good, but this is mostly due to a good tip to the maid every day.

All in all the hotel is a disappointment and can not be recommended from our side.

We stayed one week, the first week of may 2009.
The weather was god - 20-28 degress every day and sunshine. The water is somewhat cold (both pool and sea) but still at warm as i gets in Denmark in the high summer.

Sunwing Resort & Spa Alcudia is absolutely perfect for families with youn children (from age 2-10)
The beach is wide and with soft sand. The water is shallow. In may there are not so many people and aven the sunbeds are not present which makes the beach more "secluded"

There are always some guest at Sunwing Resort & Spa Alcudia but i guess that in juli and august it will be very crowded.

We stayed in 2 bedrom Royal apartment with direct seview which was perfect. Good rooms and very nice view.
We had all inclusive which is alsp perfect for us with a 4 year old, but if you want some difference in dining do not choose all inclusive.

If you want a secluded holiday with cultural visist ect. then choose otherwise. But if you realise what the sunwing concept is then you will get a perfect holiday with focus on the kids.

If the kids are happy then the parents are happy, and the holidya will be very good.
We will come back this year also in the first week in may, This time with friends which also have small childen

This hotel is a good alternative in Alcudia, a great family scene!
The hotel is splitted in to different parts, we stayed at Villa Princesa, the little house next to Princesa. It was great, a little garden outside with not to many people. The room/apartments were just fine. Nothing fancy, and a bit rusty if I may say so. The amenities included a small kitchen were we often made lunch. The hotel has a minimarket at Nuevas Palmeras wich was just nearby.
I really liked the location, that was my favourite. Dislikes....well nothing special...maybe a bit pricey ?
