We stayed here at Easter with some friends. The apartments/rooms are really nice with plenty of space for a family of 4 in the small ones. Some of the rooms overlook the pool and get sun on the balcony all day. Unfortunately ours was on the other side and overlooked the road and was north facing so got no sun. The pool was fun for the kids but was pretty cold at Easter. I’m sure once the days get hotter this will be nice though.

It was a nice easy 5 min walk to the beach from the hotel and there are a bunch of bars and restaurants within a few minutes walk from the hotel.

Great location, 10 minute walk to the beach, close to bars, restaurants and shops! Hotel its self is spotless, modern and welcoming. We stayed in a one. Bedroom apartment, it was spacious, clean with lovely modern decor. The apartment had a small kitchen area with all the amenities you would need. The hotel is great for children of all ages, child friendly entertainment in the evening and a great pool area for children with a pirate ship slide and a shallow pool great for toddlers! We went elf catering so did not eat at the hotel. All in all a lovely family hotel.

Lovely place but seems to be ageing a bit now. The staff are lovely - very friendly and they try to be helpful, but when things go wrong they simply don’t know what to do. They are very apologetic and friendly but not trained to offer solutions. Some maintenance now required in the hotel. Our hot tub was not working and took 3 days to fix. There was only one working dryer in the laundry and the TVs in the room were not working when we arrived. All easy fixes but something that could have been done before we arrived. The cleaner that cleaned our room was clearly measured on quantity rather than quality as the standard of cleaning was very poor.

On the upside, the food was good. Sometimes, as with buffets, the food sometimes felt like it was left on the buffet a bit too long but the range was good and changed every day. Free coffee and tea at breakfast and dinner from the machines and not bad quality. You have to pay for water (Euro 2.25 per 500ml) as they do not offer tap water. Good range of Cocktails (Euro 6.50) and very generous servings of spirits!

The kids seemed very happy with the entertainment - the kids entertainment team was very good! The evening entertainment was very strange - ranging from a magic show to a singing / semi strip act which was supposed to mimic the film Up. It felt a bit like watching an episode of The Office! One night the entertainment didn’t turn up so they improvised with a quiz.

Wifi is free and good coverage. Sufficient for emails, social media etc but if you want to watch films, better to download them before you arrive as it can be slow at times.

Lovely beach within walking distance and close (by bus or taxi) to the old town.

Overall a good stay but I think with all the competition around, this place will struggle to survive. There are better options available. The staff are lovely, but I think they need to be trained on better customer service. If you have already booked it, you will have a great time. If you are thinking about booking it, look around first.

Just arrived home from a short break at viva sunrise and have to say it's one of the best places we have ever stayed. We had the Royal terrace suite which had a balcony and a roof terrace with jacuzzi. The apartment was immaculately clean, extremely comfortable and had everything that you could possibly require... huge super comfy kingsize bed, wonderful powerful hot showers, 2 televisions with a good variety of channels, well equipped kitchen with an espresso coffee machine, dressing gowns, slippers & a selection of toiletries provided. The staff at viva sunrise were so welcoming and helpful and made us feel very welcome they even put a bottle of cava in our room for my partners birthday which we were very grateful for. We would especially like to mention Angie on reception as her customer service was second to none she really did make us feel very comfortable and welcome.
The hotel itself is in a great location you can easily walk to the beach, shops and bars and also has bus stops close by making it a great base to go off exploring other places on the island. We highly recommend viva sunrise to others and will certainly visit again.
