We have been coming to port d alcudia for over eight years and always stay self catering as there are such an array of local restaurants in the area. We have been to don chon previously years ago but couldn't remember if it was any good. As a couple we were given a choice of seats, inside or outside, we were given the menus and left alone to decide, which I liked as in some places they expect to take the order as soon as you are seated. We chose chicken with Chinese mushrooms and bamboo and also the beef curry. Be aware that the rice is ordered separate and is extra. The meals are large portions and were lovely. The total bill including the drinks came to less than 30€ so was reasonable. Would I go back, yes! Service was quick and the waiting staff were pleasant, prices reasonable and the meals were nice, so if you are passing and you fancy a Chinese meal you can't fail here. Thank you.

We had a lovely family meal here. It was recommended by staff in a local bar as the place they go to and worth the recommendation. The staff were very friendly and made us all feel welcome. They had smaller cutlery for the children which was very helpful. We just had prawn crackers to start with. The children didn't want the children's menu food and so we ordered one meal for them to share as recommended by the waiter. They had sweet and sour chicken. The waiter was right, there was plenty for them. The portion size was larger than average and the food we ordered was very good. Both the fried rice and plain rice were fluffy and pleasant. We had chow main sweet and sour pork, chicken in black bean sauce and chicken curry. They were all very tasty. It was 69 euros for all of us including 6 drinks plus drinks for the children. Good value enjoyable meal.

Although we are half-board at the Condes hotel just around the corner every year we always have a Chinese at the Don Chon restaurant especially if nothing takes our fancy at the hotel.

Once again we were greeted by the friendly waiter who has been here for a few years and recognised us from our previous visits and we were seated at the same table as before.

For starters my wife ordered the crispy Wan Ton while I had the Wan Ton soup. Unfortunately, the crispy Wan Ton was the only hiccup with our meal. My wife said it was no more than a load of crispy batter with virtually any taste. My soup was Ok though.

For mains we both had chicken chow main accompanied by chicken rice which were all tasty.

Service once again was friendly and attentive. With a couple drinks the bill came to a very reasonable 27 euros exactly what we paid last year.

Disappointed by poor quality meats - 'chicken' was watery, 'beef' was unrecognisable but duck was good.
Reasonable but not recommended.

Just simply great food great prices and probably the coldest pint of beer in Alcudia. I thought the pint had pieces of glass on top until I was politely told that it was ice as the glasses were chilled!
