Recommended length of visit: 1-2 hours
Owner description: World famous, are visited since 1898; inside is lake Martel, considered one of the largest underground lakes in the world, where live classical music concerts are performed every day. You can cross the lake on a boat at the end of the concert. BEWARE, there are two caves to visit in Porto Cristo, the largest and more frequently visited are the Caves of Drach. We advise to get tickets online from our web page, cheaper than at the ticket office and you don´t need to print it. Check carefully that you are at the real Cuevas del Drach, not at another caves nearby with confusing road panels, simulating to be Cuevas del Drach. On high season we advise strongly to book online from Cuevas del Drach official web site, with an small discount and ensuring your entry time.

Missing final touch!
Well worth a visit.
Minimal signage to let you know where you are, or exit routes. Do not get “caught out by nature” in the middle!!
Very large natural auditorium at the end to view three lighted boats with musicians. No attempt to amplify this in such a natural surrounding. Big scramble then to take a short ride in one of the row boats. Milling around at its worst.
Off now to a Pearl Shop for a half hour shopping break!!

Overall it's a very short experience. If not for the tour guide slowing you pace you could be in and out in 15 minutes. We were first in line and followed the guide through the cave until we reached the area where we were seated for the musical quartet. Took about 15 minutes to reach the seating area and then another 15 minutes for everyone else to take their seats. After the quartet boats through playing a few songs you have the option to board a boat for approximately a 3 minute paddle 150 meters to the exit area. If it's crowded, don't feel like you've missed anything by not getting on the boat. Overall, very underwhelming.

The cave is ancient and you can clearly see that when you first step into the cave. It was an hour walk from the entrance to the exit of the cave. I enjoyed the view along the way. However, the entrance fees is a bit expensive at €15 for an adult.

The original and best, this is very well-planned with easy paths through huge caves. You end up in a boat on a shallow lake, being serenaded by a string quartet. Make sure you visit the Caves of Drach, not one of the similar but inferior imitations.

Thank you very much for your opinion, we hope to see you again!. In fact many visitors are misled by another caves confusing road signs when arriving into Porto Cristo. We encourage our visitors to get the tickets online from our website, they will get an small discount, and ensure the day and entry time. It is not necessary to print the tickets, the smartphone screen is enough to scan the bar codes at the entrance. It is possible too to download the visit brochure in 8 different languages, and to link to a GPS navigator to arrive safely to the Caves of Drach from any place on the island.
Best regards.
