Had a Sunday night stay here in July with my girlfriend .
Booked through Booking.com a couple of weeks before we came out to Spain , we were really pleased with our choice of hotel for a short stay .
Mojacar is a fairly busy , but not mad , resort with a mix of funky bars and clubs and decent restaurants.
We've been here several times on day visits and stayed once before in a different hotel .
The Virgen Del Mar is in a central position across the road from the beach . Parking is available at the hotel for €10 but we managed to get a space in the free lot across the road .
The hotel is approached by steps so if your infirm it might not be for you .
The receptionist we met spoke a bit of English and was pleasant, setting a nice tone .
Our room on the 3rd floor had a decent sized balcony and a good view of the sea ( also a nice spot for people watching whilst having a drink )
The rooms are basic but very clean , which always gets my vote .
Beds are very comfortable and the air-con is excellent which was needed after a very hot day on the beach .
One thing I would have liked is a fridge in the room which would have been an issue if we had a longer stay .
Breakfast was included in the price ( approx £40 pppn , good value this time of year ) and was a buffet with a selection of hot and cold food.
Overall a really nice hotel and one I would recommend..

Just pointed a finger at the map and booked a place and here it was. A really beautiful and peaceful place to spend a couple of days. The hotel is a complete surprise and pleasure and for once really delivered on the pictures posted. Its a very peaceful location at this time of the year but I imagine it would be very busy at the height of the season. Great hotel and we enjoyed it very much.

Don't stay here unless you want to stay awake all night!! This must be the noisiest hotel we have ever stayed in. You can even hear people using the toilet in other rooms, and we were treated to the sound of someone vomiting all night in a nearby room. The only plus point about the hotel is its location, but you may get a better nights sleep on the beach.

An area of Spain we had never been.
The area is unspoiled and mainly Spanish speaking
The hotel was nice but basic.
Walls very think so everything can be heard from the light switches to other personal behaviour
The area has some nice restaurants and small beach areas.

The hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff very helpful, cheerful and polite although their English was limited they always tried hard to understand.
The room walls were quite thin and our bed squeaked loudly every time we turned over - not sure what the French couple in the room next door thought was going on!!!!

Room Tip: Pick top floor, less noise from other guests
