I will start off by saying this is a lovely hotel. Agreed, not luxurious, but very comfortable. I found rooms clean, bedding very comfortable.
Staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was very good. Food at restaurant was excellent! Plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants to enjoy and that view!!
We used local busses into Porto, and staff were helpful with this.
Bring a bathing cap...even men need one for the pool and jacuzzi. (Or you can buy one for 5€) Jacuzzi not good at all. Pool very nice,,sauna and steam are nice.,
We are enjoying the more peaceful setting than the busy city.
People are very friendly here as well.

This is clearly not a 4 star hotel, it's a not very good 3 star at the most. The location is fantastic but it's very old and it deserves proper investment. Everything is old and cheap for a 4 star, including the beds, pillows and linens. I also had a bug in my bathroom... For the price you can get a proper hotel. What kind of saves it is the staff, really kind and helpful, they deserved a better hotel to work in. If this hotel was totally redone, at that location, it could be a fantastic hotel.

Easy to locate in a car with a free open air car park directly infront of the hotel. On the sea front with promenade walks to local bars and restaurants.
Reception staff were excellent at all times of the day, so helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We were in room 308 with stunning views of the coastline, twin beds, plenty of wardrobe space and a bath/shower with separate WC. Very quiet hotel even though they were hosting a wedding.
Breakfast was €5 each, plenty of options to choose from with a small cooked selection and more available to order.
Great location for travelling round VNDG, Porto and the local villages for home cooked meals. Didn’t use the spa however you need a cap to use this facility, reception sell for €5.
Would definitely visit again.

Hotel is ok.
Room and bathroom are fine and clean. However, the swimming pool and the jacuzzi are a disaster.
Do not consider the photos on trip advisor. If you get there you will notice that the pool is a bit dirty, the tails are comming off the wall. The global infrastructure must be revamped.

Breakfast is just enough.

If you just go for a sleep, it is fine. If you go for enjoying the spa too, don't go !

This is a little rustic but it more than makes up for the lack of up to date amenities with the fantastic staff, quirky little elevator and proximity to the ocean. While it is a ways away from the center of Porto it is a short and cheap ($1,95eur) bus ride through the real city. Restaurant was right next door and there were lots of beach front restaurants for other choices.
