We stopped in for a late lunch and took advantage of the 7.50 Euro Piri Piri chicken special. Service was good, food was excellent. Portions size good. Nice atmosphere, we sat inside (non smoking) although a covered outside patio is available if you smoke. Great local food choices on menu and excellent wine selection.

We have visited this restaurant on many occasions for chicken piri piri which has been fine each time. Today we thought we'd try something else. We had some difficulty in making our choice clear to an overly enthusiastic Portuguese waitress who despite pained attempts simply couldn't get the dishes right. The tuna came with salad which we'd asked be left off the plate as we'd ordered the vegetables. The fries came on the plate whereas we'd asked they be served separately. The grilled tuna was awful. A huge slab of dry, chewy; tasteless mess. We tried to explain we thought there'd been a mistake. We gave up. The same waitress kept jabbering on in Portuguese we think explaining what was probably a different cut to what we'd expected. We have lived, ate and eaten mostly fish in all of our 9 years In The Algarve. We know our fish. This was more like a huge, poor quality, dry and badly cooked swordfish steak. This same waitress just kept on and on, repeating the same thing over and over. The experience was embarrassing and stressful. We just wanted to get as far away as possible and never go back. No. This waitress then argued the eventual bill which we suggested be reduced by paying half for the tuna dish. She began again, her voice climbing higher and louder, saying the same things she'd already said but over and over. It felt aggressive. We eventually settled the bill paying half for the tuna. Truth be told that was too much but we just literally wanted to escape, seriously. The woman was unstoppable. She even called after us as we left-probably to say the same again. It was horrible. We will never return. A horrible experience. If we could rate 0 stars we would.

Restaurant was quiet on the evening of 8/11/17.
As a couple we ordered chicken for 2 on hot stone from the menu, there were several choices "on hot stone' in the menu but out of season they are not available. We were only told this after sat down and drinks were ordered despite discussing menu with waiter at the door. We heard another table order pork chops and told they didn't have these either, only pork steaks.
I ordered Portuguese steak and wife had chicken kebab. Her kebab was good, my steak was tough and grisly. Sauce was nice. Potions moderate size
Our vihno Verde was OK.
Took ages for our order to come despite only one or two their parties in the restaurant.
Only had 2 pre-made desserts and 1 homemade rice pudding.
Not great choice.
I left still a bit hungry
Moderately priced but not good value, so I would not recommend.
