Not that busy to start with but filled up quickly. Not a massive choice but adequate. Red onion soup which was very thick but tasted really good and their antipasti to start which was a little all over the place but on the whole good. Ravioli and another unknown pasta for mains which were both cooked well and seasoned correctly. The star of the night was drinking Le Difese for only 24 Euros a bottle. We sell it for £20 where I work in a retail environment!

We've eaten here several times over the past five years and always had a successful evening. This latest visit was no exception. Situated in a quiet corner beneath the beautiful round bell tower of the Cathedral, L'Accademia feels authentic in its ambience and in its characterful yet unstuffy architecture/decor. Good food and especially friendly, attentive service really made our night. Choice for vegetarians is a confined to a couple of well-executed pasta dishes but the meat-eaters were particularly impressed with their orders, ranging from curried chicken to "tagliatelle" (strips) of beef. L'Accademia manages to be both polished and relaxed - it's a place we'll always hope to come back to.

More contemporary than other restaurants in town and very posh so dress well! Good menu and some slightly different dishes, good atmosphere and lovely venue, you can sit upstairs in a romantic mezzanine type area.
Delicious food!

This is a rather quaint little restaurant tucked away in the back streets behind the Duoma in the City, we passed it a number of times and it always closed then we found it open and booked in. Seated in side it can get a little warm as they have no air conditioning, but they do open small windows to one side and a large sliding door on the other and create a bit of a through draft. However the food is excellent and the service is very personal and friendly, we were a group of eight and had a ball, I would recommend this restaurant for anyone seeking good local Italian food and first class service.

Have visited Citta a number of times, and now know the place pretty well. On this trip we tried L Academia for the first time, and we really liked it. There are a few good restaurants in Citta, where you can get good food, but this is different. Here you get good food and a lovely atmosphere/decor, which is often lacking in many of Citta's restaurants, as they cater mainly for the outside trade. We visited in May when it was very wet and we were looking for inside eating. This was perfect, the interior is warm, welcoming , and great lighting creating a nice atmosphere. The menu isn't extensive but sufficient, and food we had was excellent. I had the curried chicken which I can highly recommend, just very delicate curried flavours. Price is normal for Citta which in most places is very reasonable and we probably spent £25 per head for 3 courses with wine. Menus are in Italian but our waitress spoke enough English to guide us through the choices. Will return, and in actual fact went twice in the same week!
