We had the nicest time. I would highly recommend it. While there is room for improvement, what really makes the place wonderful is the staff, the location, and the dinners. It is not easy to get to but personally that's what makes it unique. Once there you can enjoy the peace and quiet, take long walks, explore the country side. You can be ambitious and drive into local walled towns or even Florence, which it not too far, or you can choose to realx and take a cooking class or read by the fire. David is a wonderful host and Ricardo is an excellent Concierge. He really tells it like it is and never steered us wrong.

My fiance and I stayed at Villa Bordoni a few weeks ago and were blown away by Villa Bordoni. It's situated in a beautiful part of Tuscany and makes for a truly authentic stay. From the moment you step inside Borodoni, you are welcomed and immediately start to unwind with a nice bottle of Chianti on the patio. The gardens are lovely to explore, the restaurant great, lovely authentic breakfast, with fantastic rooms. The rooms themselves are lovely, open and sets you back to the 15th century (without at all feeling old itself).

Probably the best thing about Villa Bordoni is the staff; they're always incredibly helpful but more importantly are passionate about what they do and making your stay a good one. Will definitely go back and can highly recommend.

Room Tip: All of the rooms looked nice, just pick one that you like the look of!

The Villa Bordoni is a small (only about 10 rooms) and exquisite gem in the gorgeous Chianti countryside. David the owner, and all of his staff create a warm and authentic welcome. Each room is individually decorated with impeccable taste. The restaurant is outstanding...traditional Italian dishes using top ingredients (I know because I did one of the cooking classes in the restaurant kitchen) and deliciously prepared.
This is one of my top 10 hotels in the world.

We absolutely adored Villa Bordoni. I was traveling with a friend and we wanted to have a true Tuscan experience. This gorgeous property is steeped in history and the owners have maintained a rustic, luxurious feel. The grounds are stunning, as are the surrounding vineyards. The staff was phenomenal and accommodating. Our two dinners at the restaurant were by far the best meals we'd had on our trip. The smell of the wood-burning fireplace provided an amazing sensory experience. Lovely touches included a generous included continental breakfast, turndown service at night, and a huge selection of DVDs available to borrow. Truly one of the best properties I've had the pleasure of staying at. I only wish we could have extended our stay for weeks on end. Thank you, Villa Bordoni! (And in regards to all the comments about the road leading to Villa Bordoni -- part of it is unpaved, but no major potholes, just go slowly -- and the road directly to them is paved, so no issues at all!)

Room Tip: The "Capella" room is attached to the main building, so while it is beautiful. you do hear conversations and foot traffic just outside

My wife and I stopped in Greve, Chianti during our honeymoon stay and booked a couple nights at the Villa Bordoni. We were very pleased with our stay. From the friendly staff, to the interior rooms, exterior courtyards and landscaping to the excellent on site restaurant. We would highly recommend for couples or families as well. We also recommend taking the cooking class with the head chef Colin; it was one of the highlights of our time in Italy.
